Apparently the Bobcats waived him, he had a buyout of 1.5 mil. I have no idea why they waived him, this guy is as solid as a back up PG can get. I'm sure Cleveland will make a bidding for him. But I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Warriors uni. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-b...ov=ap&type=lgns Is he injured or something or are the Bobcats that cheap on payroll?
I am a bit more interested in Earl Boykins. But I am not sure about Knight. Is he able to play up-paced still? The PG from San Diego State didn't get drafted either. Perhaps this team can make some good point guards to compete for a spot on the roster this offseason. Actually looking at Knight's stats, I'd like to see him here. He has a 3-1 assist to turnover ratio and he can actually make FT's. But I don't know what the Bobcats are doing. I know that they want to resign Gerald Wallace. But it doesn't seem as if Knight took up that much cap space. Overall it just seems like Knight is a journeyman PG in this league. But if his legs are up to it and if he can keep it up paced then I'd like to see him here. However he did only play 45 games last season. Perhaps he was injured. I really don't know.
clif you are so right about brandon heath, sdsu player that went undrafted. HE is a 6' 4" combo guard. I think he is sort of a van exel. HAs the floater and big range with that type of mentality that he can carry a team on his shoulders and come through with big shots and has. He ran the point his first two years and shared it the past two. He was conference leading scorere and MVP 2 years ago. He is consistent, puts up the numbers nightly and plays solid D. He was also very clutch from the free throw line. HE would be electric in Nellie's system. I just hope we bring him into camp for the summer league and take a long look. He would certainly be a better addition than Boykins and cheaper. I just not a big fan of boykins' shoot first, look for my shot then pass mentality or his defensive mismatches. I would prefer Knight of the two as he is a true point that sets up his team mates and looking for his shot is down the list. Brandon Heath..... a perfect fit and back up for us.
