Yeah, great management we've got here. I hate this team with a passion right now. Let's miss the playoffs this year, no way in hell do we get in. Seriously I'm so sick of this BS. Jerry, Jim, and Mitch need to leave the organization, now.

We've got the greatest god damn player in the league right now, and we've got college level talent around him. Amazing, simply god damn amazing. If this team can't win with Odom and Bynum, why are we holding onto them? I like my shots at winning with Jermaine and Kobe more than Kobe, Odom, and a non-existent Bynum. Screw management.

Or, screw the media outlets which fabricate these rumors to sell papers.

Lakers turning down a Jermaine O'Neal for Odom/Bynum offer?

    Hoax.

That is simply funny. Bynum isn't Wilt nor Shaq, he doesn't have much value as everybody thinks, and who knows if he ever breaks out of his shell. That fact that they are rejecting the deal, is retarded.

    Btw, is Hoopsworld even credible?

Bogus or not, it's being reported. If it's true, I've had it with this god damn team. We've accepted mediocrity and we're pimping Kobe Bryant to sell tickets, that's it. We've got no dedication to him or Odom, players who want to win now. Players who aren't a part of our future.

This is pretty pathetic. Kobe would go batshit insane if this turns out to be true. This management is horrible. Anyone who wants to jump off the Lakers bandwagon can come over to the Magic forum. We're frustrating sometimes but there's no way Otis Smith would screw something like this up.

I'm not jumping off of the Lakers, I'm jumping off of Mitch, Jerry, and Jim. They're scumbags, plain and simple. They've got absolutely no intentions of bettering the team now. They won't trade Odom and Bynum for Jermaine, they passed on Byars for Yue, who will probably never ever amount to anything in this league. The Bobcats came out and said they would love to be the third team to help out L.A. and Minnesota, and we ignore them.

Is it not obvious that the organizations loyalties are to Bynum and not Kobe? Or do we have to trade Odom away for peanuts to realize that...

BTW, Swish I'm already expecting Kobe to go "batshit insane ([IMG])", we are f'ing terrible. We're staying the same and every team below us is getting better. Right now, if the playoffs were to start, I'd have us missing out in 10th place.

Lakers turn down LeBron for Bynum

The Lakers have cited Bynum's "potential" for rejecting the trade.</div>

    Love the maturity [IMG]

Wouldn't work salary wise, and I demand Sasha to be included on the Lakers behalf.

Maturity doesn't really come into play. It was a commentary on the ongoing string of Los Angeles trade scenarios in which the Lakers for some reason turn down this too-good-to-be-true trade in which the Lakers rape their trade partner.

So do rape victims have sex within 24 hours of the incident with another guy or brag about their rapist's prowess in bed? I'd hold off on your convictions.

I hope Kobe didn't do anything, but in addition, if one goes into the facts of that case the allegations appear to be questionable.

But dropping an "F" bomb at least 5 times and saying other curse words is mature? How can you tell people to not cuss or get debate with a passion but then flip out like that?

Well I hope that the Lakers do not turn this deal down if it's true. I would hate to do it but I would give up Bynum for JO. Something good for the team is what we need.

Like I've been saying if I was the Lakers I wouldn't do LO and Bynum for JO. That would just cripple your ability to make any other moves. You would have Kwame's 8 mil expiring and Crittenton to make any other moves. JO/Kobe won't get you much further than you are now(if at all), IMO.

What are you going to get for them though? Kwame Brown/Mihm/draft pick likely won't get you a guy that would get Kobe/JO over the hump beating teams like the Mavs, Suns, or Spurs and he would also have a large salary and when you would already be paying 2 guys a combined $40 mil you don't need yet another big time salary.

Well if you dont want to give up Odom & Bynum for JO then who are you going to give up for JO? I say give up Bynum & Odom because I want to see another Champioship come to L.A.

I don't understand what there is to not letting go Bynum and Odom.

Question: Have we accomplished anything with those two?
    Answer: NO!

Question: Are any of these two as consistent, have as much as an impact as Jermaine?
    Answer: No

Question: Is either a defensive stopper, and a constant 20 PPG scorer?[/i]
    Answer: No

So what's the hold up? If we're content on building around Bynum, don't tell the media, Kobe, and the most important people...the fans, that we're building around Kobe. Come out with the truth so we can accept how bad we're going to suck.

I agree with you the Lakers should just do the trade. Mitch don't hold back and just do the trade it will help the Lakers in so many ways.
