<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The agent for Seattle SuperSonics free agent Rashard Lewis is meeting with Sonics general manager Sam Presti this weekend to gauge where the team stands in the wake of the acquisition of Kevin Durant and Jeff Green and the trade of Ray Allen to the Boston Celtics. Although Presti has said publicly he wants to re-sign Lewis, who opted out of his contract in May to become an unrestricted free agent, Tony Dutt has requested a meeting to specifically determine where Lewis fits in with the organization?s plans. ?We will let them outline the plan for the team and also Rashard Lewis,? Dutt wrote in an e-mail, ?and we will know more as to the direction of Rashard after our meeting.? Lewis opted out of the final two years and $21 million of his contract and is seeking a six-year deal that Lewis? camp would like to approach or exceed $80 million. However, things were thrown into a state of confusion when the Sonics obtained two small forwards in Thursday?s draft, which is the same position that Lewis plays. Dutt did not respond to a question about Lewis? preferences now that Allen has been traded but said things will become more clear once teams can begin contacting players on July 1. ?There are no definite plans,? Dutt wrote. ?We will adjust once we know who has the most interest after July 1st.? Because of rules in the league?s collective bargaining agreement, Lewis cannot sign a contract with any team until July 11. However, he can begin negotiating with teams at midnight on Sunday. The Sonics can offer Lewis more money than any other team, and Lewis wants a contract that begins at least at the $10 million he would have been paid this season if he did not opt out. However, the Sonics likely are bidding against themselves because only two other teams have money to offer Lewis. It is believed Charlotte does not have an interest, and Orlando?s money will be eaten up by Darko Milicic. There are sign-and-trade possibilities that could benefit both the team and Lewis. Houston, Portland, New York and Boston all have interest. ?We will know more on Sunday,? Dutt wrote.</div> Source
S&T seems most likely. They prob. wouldn't take Turkoglu because of Green and Durant. They need SGs and bigs.
