The kid can certainly shoot the basketball, there's no questions about that. I don't mind the signing at all. He was unbelievably clutch for Syracuse in his last few seasons, and I can definitely see him coming off the bench later in his career as a decent 3-point threat, nothing more though.
Oh, god no!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm living in Scranton they treat McNamera as if he were Michael Jordan around here. I hope he does not make the final roster I would have to shoot myself listening to people talk about McNamera as if he is the greatest point guard to ever put on a 76ers uniform.
McNamara and Korver on the same team? No wonder Billy King is happy with a team of swingmen, they are putting together the run and shoot team. They won't need any big men because there will be no rebounds and no inside game!!!

And Blur, honestly, the only reason I've ever heard of Scranton is because of Gerry McNamara. He may be the pride of your town, but that's for a good reason. He put you guys on the map. From his freshman season as Carmelo Anthony's point to his senior season as one of the most distinguished individuals in Syracuse history, all they talked about every time he got the ball was about how much he meant to the community in Scranton. Now I've got the connection seared into my brain.
He could be a decent bench player, but I'm sure those european teams love him. So if he doesnt make the NBA squad, i wouldnt be sprised seein him play overseas.
