<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said Saturday night that the club is "going after Rashard," the SuperSonics forward who attended high school in suburban Houston and is considered one of the NBA's most attractive free agents this summer.

"We really want him," Morey told Houston television station KRIV-TV. "We think he would be a significant player for us. Rashard would have to be motivated to come."

Lewis, who turns 28 in August, left $21 million behind by opting out of the final two years of his Seattle contract. The Sonics are the only team that can offer Lewis a six-year contract and the maximum salary allowed under the league's salary cap.

Morey told KRIV that in order for Lewis to land in Houston, "it has to be through a sign and trade."

Man I just wish this trade can come through. Rashard likes Orlando, and probably will stay in Seattle. But I don't see why he wouldn't want to come here. Even though Rockets did him wrong by not selecting him, he should still come here because he finally gets a shot at staying in Houston now. Common Rashard!

My nephews live about four houses down from him in Sugar land, they've seen him walking his dog, I told them to tell him to sign here and stay home.[IMG]

    M.Moore wants a little cash/Hayes/Novak/Reed/Landry
    Yao/Deke

I like Hayes as a proven backup in the league and M.Moore getting PT at C.
M.James/TMac/Shane is looking real good right now.

Throw in a deal for good measure
    TMac/Shane/Bonzi/L.Head/Snyder
Thats not even considering M.James getting any min. at the 2. Wings are filled up.

VSpan/JLIII/Snyder/Sura's contract and maybe next years first rounder
Wasn't that the Artest deal...they went cold on the Heat's offer
L.Head is next on the list and could go.
    But no, not Shane

    M.James/Rafer/A.Brooks
    TMac/Bonzi
    Shane/Artest
    M.Moore/C.Hayes/Landry/Novak
    Yao/Deke

Seeing that contract he signed, I'm glad we couldn't get him, actually. $15 mil/year in combination with Yao and TMac's contracts would have taken up the salaray cap alone.

At least now we can dedicate ourselves to finding a solid power forward.

I agree. He is more of a SF anyways so its all good. I Don't want artest either because he is also a SF. We need a 6-10 to 6-11 PF who can rebound.
