<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Washington Times reports that the Nets are expected to offer Wizard big man Andray Blatche a four or five-year contract starting at $3.9 million. Blatche, a 6'-11" forward, was drafted in the second round in 2005. He is 20 years old and only a few weeks older than Net draft choice Sean Williams. Blatche filled in for Antawn Jamison last season, averaging 7 ppg and 7 rpg in a month-long stretch. Since he is a restricted free agent, the Wiz can match any offer.</div>

I think we all agree that the Nets should go after Blatche, but even if we do offer him 3.9 million for 5 years the Wizards will match the offer.

I hope this means the Wizards can sign him for cheaper. The Wizards need to look to get him on a decent length contract so if he turns out good he'll be a huge bargain.
