That is what I was thinking, but then they have Mo Pete, a proven Vet who plays the SG position, but it is very unlikely this will happen. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Colangelo pulled it off, because he is capable of good trades, but where would Gordon fit really?

I'm not a big fan of Gordon, to be honest. Every time I watch him, he holds the ball too long and gets caught in double teams. Reminds me of Mike James a little, because he can either shoot you in or out of a game.

A good comparison, but I still think Gordon wouldn't be to bad. He can drive, he can shoot the lights out better then Mike James, IMO. Also, he can play back-up PG better then Juan Dixon and is bigger too. However, giving up Calderon, would not be so great, because he is the best back-up PG in the league.

I hate to bust this one down. But from my understanding of the CBA Mo being a UFA a sign and trade can only go 1 for 1. This trade doesn't seem possible under that scenario.

    Collective Bargaining Agreement

All is said was "Sign & Trade rules stay the same" so I'm not to sure, but I thought you were allowed to trade others in a sign and trade.

One thing I will give Gordon is that his consistency has improved A LOT in his third season, and he improved his passing, and was getting to the line more.

The funny thing here though is that while it would be a talent upgrade, I actually don't like the trade even though I don't think Chicago would want any part in it. If we're going to trade a very good backup PG, why trade him for a small SG?

Now with Peterson leaving it will be harder to continue our three point streak, so Brian signed an even better three point shooter to make sure its never broken.

    Just my two cents.

NIce pickup in Kapono. But BC definetely overpaid ..24mil/4yrs? come on.
For a guy that does one thing really good, 12mil/3yrs will a good deal not at 6mil a year.
On the other hand, we gave Mopete 15mil/ 3yrs few years ago.. thats about 5mil a year... so this doesnt make Kapono contract look too bad afterall, just an extra year a couple of millions more each year.

How much is AP making? Is Kapono making more than AP?

New Raptor Kapono 'just a fun-loving guy'

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Kapono is California cool, a self-professed beach bum with a passion for golf and spending a shift or two at the deep fryer in his buddy's restaurant back home each summer because he's been doing it since he was a teenager.

He says he doesn't take himself or life too seriously, preferring going through days with a sense of bemusement. As if to demonstrate how far he's set apart from the majority of his NBA brethren, the final note in his biography notes he has no tattoos.

He's not exactly Charles Oakley-esque with a one-liner yet but there's still time. The newest Raptor brings with him a sense of humour and a playfulness that should sit well with a youngish team of guys who all get along.

    <div align="center">Kapono, Raptors now together after courtship</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It was about a minute past midnight on July 1 when Jason Kapono's agent got a call from Bryan Colangelo and it wasn't more than a couple of minutes later that the newest Raptor had found a home.

Admitting he was a bit "shocked" at the call and the offer from the Raptors president and general manager, Kapono also admitted Thursday the decision to leave Miami for Toronto was pretty much a no-brainer.

"Toronto obviously offers the best style of play ... you couldn't ask for anything more," the 26-year-old Californian said at a news conference Thursday. "As a player with my skills, I fit pretty well here."

Kapono, who led the NBA in three-point shooting last year, knocking down 51.4 per cent of his attempts, gets a contract for three years plus an option that could earn him more than $24 million (all figures U.S.).

If it seems like the motherlode of cash to the 2003 second-round draft pick, that's because it is: He made about $1.2 million with the Heat last season.

For the Raptors, though, the money wasn't really an issue. They knew they'd have to spend to fill one of holes they've got on the roster and when they started looking over the list of possible additions, the 6-foot-8 Kapono was an obvious choice.

"Among all of the basketball people in this organization, he was the guy we wanted to go after immediately</div>
