Coby Karl signs with Lakers

    Coby Karl, 6'5" and 204 lb SG/SF, led Boise State in both points per game (17.2) and assists per game (4.0) respectively during his junior year. He also shot a 3-point high 39.5% and averaged 5.1 rebounds per game. He was named to the 2005-06 All-WAC Second Team.

    Karl underwent chemotherapy treatment for papillary carcinoma in 2007 after his senior year (a thyroid cancer considered by Karl's doctor to be one of the most treatable forms of cancer).

    Often times teams will do a favor for an agent as part of the agent returning the favor. I looked up Karl's agent, and it happens to be Dan Fegan.

    Can anyone confirm this signing? It's not on the Lakers homepage (although I know it's sometimes slow with updates), and the link in the first post doesn't work.

    If he is signed, what are the details of the contract? I mean, it must be a short one so that they can try him out during the summer or something...
