<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Randolph Introduced; Knicks Working On Another Trade July 2, 2007 - 10:16 pm New York Times - Isiah Thomas introduced Zach Randolph at a press conference on Monday. Thomas is not concerned about Randolph's off-the-court actions, saying that the team had "done all our homework here, and I think we're right about this one." "I'm a good person," declared the 6'9" Randolph. "Everybody that knows me personally knows I'm a good person." Randolph is about to turn 26 years of age, and could emerge as an All-Star in the Eastern Conference. He averaged 23.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last season. "Assuming Randolph stays out of trouble," writes Howard Beck of the New York Times, "the Knicks could boast the most fearsome, and certainly the largest, low-post tandem in the Eastern Conference. Randolph and [Eddy] Curry are strong, skilled scorers who command double teams. Thomas expects a playoff appearance ... and much more." Beck says Thomas is "known to be working on another trade, both to bolster the roster and to reduce it." On Monday, Thomas told the media that the Knicks are pursuing free-agent Rashard Lewis. </div>[READ] We need to get Gerald Wallace here fast!
Another trade! Well, the Knicks are at least TRYING to go in the right direction. They do need to clear like 2 or 3 players so a multi-player trade may be the best way. Who is expendable though........
Other than Rashard Lewis, who is unlikely to come to New York, there's no other player worth making a huge trade for. Of course this doesn't include superstars, who we likely won't be able to acquire either. Then again, we have more than 15 players on the roster; 17 last time I checked. Either we have some waiving to do, or we need a couple of 2-for-1 player trades.
We can't sign him unless it's through a sign-and-trade. It means the Jared Jeffries signing was even more pointless if we acquire Gerald Wallace. Either way, I doubt he's wearing a Knick uniform by next season. What do the Bobcats want that we have?
One question, how do we get rid of Jarred Jeffries? I would love to see Artest in the mix despite the off court issues and I'm all for having Gerald Wallace in a new york uniform. Both these SF are what we need considering the D we're giving up inside
Now that we have Dickau and Fred Jones I try trading away Nate,Jefries, and James and try to get Artest from the Kings..
