Wow, what Sean Williams said in the article really should give us Nets' fans hope. The guy is willing to put his troubles aside and start his NBA career with a clean slate. I think this kid will be great for the team and I hope he really impresses over the summer league and training camp so by October he is given the starting spot at power forward. I think he could help us a whole lot. I was skeptical about him at first, but whenever you hear a player say something like that, you know he's gonna try hard. I just hope he doesn't turn out like Pacman Jones. [IMG]

I feel that Sean Williams will fare well in the NBA. I really think that he will be able to turn over a new leaf. I just hope he doesn't pull an Eddie Griffin on us, saying he's ok and hopes to have a new start, and then gets caught in his car...

Great news, I will look forward to seeing how he develops and more importantly how he plays in the summer league.

If he does have a good summer league and plays hard will Frank be giving him starting status???

Starting? I don't think so, who's he gonna start over? I Mikki is back, him and Krstic will probably be starting, and Collins is still ahead of him on the depth chart.

I hope he does well, I love defensive centres like him, so I'll be rooting for him no matter what.

Mikki will probably play on the bench so he could come in and give the team s spark like Boki. I think Williams and Boone could compete with Collins for a starting spot. [IMG]

I actually like Boone starting the most for you guys next to Krstic. If he can get himself playing nice man to man defense, I like his rebounding. Most of the time when he played good minutes, he got a good amount of rebounds, if he played 20+ minutes, from my recollection he seemed to almost always grab 5-6 rebounds or more (depending on the mins), and was active.

He does play pretty well with Marcus Williams though, so coming off the bench it can be nice to pair them up, but who knows.

The thing with Boone is he's coming off another injury, so unless his rehab goes extremely well, I think he should come off the bench=, for now.

Other than perhaps rebounding, he doesn't give us anything more than Collins does. He has no post moves or a jumpshot, he gets all his points from good passes, or open dunks. He doesn't have the best hands either, so when you thread the needle, he ends up fumbling it anyway.

Unless he really improves his offense, I didn't see why we should just hand him the starting spot.

Well that was only his rookie season. He will get much better at scoring as his career progresses. I think he could improve in the summer league if given minutes.

Perhaps if he works on it, but we're talking about next season.

Depending on how well he's feeling after the surgery. Injuries can take you a step back, so he might be in a position where he needs to get his rhythm back, before improving on different aspects of his game.
