I think he can in a fast paced offense that the Hawks are likely to run. He might be a little short in height, but he makes up for it with his strength and athleticism. Supposedly they are going to let Al battle it out against Zaza and Shelden for the starting C spot and I guess that means either Marvin Williams or Josh Smith is likely to start at PF with the other at SF.

I definitely see Horford starting at C for the Hawks next season. He's strong and big enough to hit the boards and score downlow. Definitely Josh Smith will start at SF and probably Marvin at PF.

    C - Al Horford
    PF - Marvin Williams
    SF - Josh Smith
    SG - Joe Johnson
    PG - Speedy Claxton

Thats what I would go with, for the start of the season at least.

I think the season lineup will start like this:

    PG - Speedy Claxton
    SG - Joe Johnson
    SF - Josh Smith
    PF - Marvin Williams
    C - Zaza Pachulia

However, I think by the time they are looking at the playoffs (from the outside at this stage!) the line up will be:

    PG: Acie Law
    SG: Joe Johnson
    SF: Josh Smith
    PF: Marvin Williams
    C: Al Horford

Just my opinion but I think the rookies won't start but will by the end of it!

Acie Law is a polished player who can come right in. He should have every chance to take the starting spot early. Claxton is solid, but he's not close to what Law could give you.

It just depends how they did in preseason. I think Acie can start over TLue easily.
