The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to re-sign center Chris Mihm as well as a veteran guard. However, Mihm's agent, Jeff Austin, told the Lakers his client is looking for the mid-level exception of $5.5 million, and the Lakers think that is too much to pay for Mihm, who missed all of last season recovering from right ankle surgery and still was paid his $4.2 million salary. Also, the Lakers reached out to point guard Steve Blake of the Denver Nuggets, but were told he too was looking for the full mid-level, meaning he also may cost more than the Lakers are willing to spend. Okay? So who exactly are we going to get? The management promised some big changes, so far, we haven't gotten anything. They rejected the Jermaine O'Neal trade because they didn't to offer Andrew Bynum, Kevin Garnett is out of our reach, Mihm may be too expensive, we can't even land Steve Blake. So I want to ask the organization, who exactly are we going to sign? If we're not planning on doing crap this offseason, we might as well just trade away Kobe and start rebuilding from scratch, because we're nowhere closer to where we were last season, maybe even farther because other teams have been improving, while we've been standing pat
I wouldn't be surprise if we didn't get Blake after this whole Laker drama many players wouldn't want to play with Kobe.
