and you're just a sheep who is incapable of accepting a differing opinion.
I love Nas first two albums and God's son had some good stuff, other than that it pretty much bores me to tears. That is one of "Premo" as you so familiarly call him, most uninspired beats. just cause it bears nas and premo doesn't mean it's good.

some people do ride Nas, but come on Nas has put out plenty of quality/great material within the past 10 years.

hold up homie, lol....Nas Is Like is one premo's best tracks and most hip hop fans will tell you that if you were to ask them some of premo's best beats......what's uninspiring about it?

</div>I don't have a problem with Nas winning, but the fact that it looks like the finals of alltime hiphop tracks is going to be a track from I Am... versus a track from Stillmatic I find disturbing and "most hip hop fans" as you call em would too, if they knew their history.

Illmatic and most of his best beats for Gang Starr are better. NY State Of Mind and D'evils - now THAT"S what i'm f'in talking about.
see I'm old enough to remember when Nas came out, and he was ON FIRE. The Chronic was the OTHER hot album of the time and it was hard to pick which one was better, all you knew was both were more addictive than cooked cocaine (not that i've tried the stuff). From then on, every time Nas release an album (read: I am, stillmatic, streets disciple, nastradeumus), i wanted to hear that passion. i wanted an album that would stay on repeat in the changer. instead I heard lots of complex wordplay but Nas sounded like he was boring himself. I too was bored. Those albums were good for a couple of spins and that was it. Maybe I was getting old, I thought. Outgrown hip-hop? Then Black Star came along, Reflection Eternal came out, Like water 4 chocolate, Things Fall Apart, aquemini, etc. and it was like Illmatic all over again. I just think Nas is given way too much of a pass just because he doesn't do club tracks. Roots, Common, Tribe, Talib, Jay-Z, all got better as they went along in my opinion, or at least they grew as artists. end of rant.

^^^lol...yeah I AM wasn't a great album, and I don't even know why Ether is in the tournament, but I've always loved Nas is Like....it's not like Premo's grimey old production (The Sun Shines in the East, Illmatic, Ready to Die, etc.) but I love the beautiful strings and how Nas flows poetically over it.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Roots, Common, Tribe, Talib, Jay-Z, </div>

I think Common got better until Electric Circus and The Roots got better until Game Theory....The Tribe's first 3 albums are dope, but after that they fell off....Jay Z fell off after RD, and Talib fell off after his Blackstar and the album he did with Hi-Tek.

Sure Illmatic is Nas' best LP...and yes God's Son Nastradamous and Streets Disciple are pretty ehh...but Nas is consistent...and versatile as well...what kind of track can Nas NOT do besides club bangers? Just look at I Am...you got all kinds of different joints on there that are good and show his range as an artist.

This tournament doesn't mean Nas Is Like is the best hip hop track of all time...some people just chose their favorite songs.

and Premo's beats are uninspired? LOL..and your a New Yorker? Never heard of that...
