<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jannero Pargo enjoyed his role last season as one of the Hornets' top backup guards. He played in all 82 games, got numerous shot opportunities and led the team in assists in seven games.

Although his contribution was significant, there's uncertainty whether Pargo, who averaged 9.2 points and 2.5 assists in the 2006-07 season, will return to New Orleans after opting out of his two-year contract last month to become an unrestricted free agent.

He has received interest from at least three teams besides the Hornets, but Pargo said his preference is to re-sign with New Orleans. Free agents can begin signing contracts July 11. </div>

I'm not sure if I'd give Pargo 4 years. He's just not that good. He's got a good 3PT shot, he can score, but he's not much of a passer, not much of a defender, and is a fairly low efficiency scorer who last year was saved in that area by the fact that he hit a high percentage of his three's.

New Orleans has Bobby Jackson already, and if they really want another backup PG can go after a more real PG off the bench, or a guy like Charlie Bell if they can get a good contract because of the lack of trust they probably have in BJax's health.
