I went ahead and started a league. I know it's late notice. I set it to accept the first 50 people who signed up, but we're going to start week one, so sign up now. It's really easy.

    Group ID# - 52889

By the way, I'm implementing the confidence points system.

Confidence Points are used to give a different weight to each game in a given week. You will assign a point value (from 1 to 15 if there are 15 games, 1 to 14 if there are 14 games, etc.) to each game based on how strongly you feel about the accuracy of your selection. If your selection is correct, you will receive points equal to the confidence-point value you associated with that game.

So, if you pick Pittsburgh to beat Dallas and assign the game a confidence point value of 15, you would get 15 points for a correct pick, but no points if Dallas wins. You do not lose points for an incorrect selection.

Great, you had to say bradyrules. Now, I'm going to have "Mom always says, 'Don't play ball in the house'" stuck in my head all afternoon.

    I joined.

How does the "confidence" thing work? You rate how confident you are in each pick from 1 - 16 with 1 being the highest confidence?

I'm guessing that affects the point system somehow?

Yeah, if you put 16 on a game, then you get 16 points. If you put 1 on a game, then you get one point. 1 is the lowest, not the highest.

I'll join, but for the record, it's practically against my religion to type that password. I think we should chage it to howmanysuperbowlsdidmarinowin?

Just wanted to give this thread a bump in case there are some more folks that would like to join.

Edit - We've got eleven players. We still have room for 39 more. [IMG]

We just signed up for one of the public leagues in Yahoo - sorry! This is our first go of Fantasy Football. Does anyone have any pointers to a newbie? It seems a lot of it deals with who you get during the draft and I am sure there are some definite strategies there (e.g. does a good kicker make much difference, etc.).
