After one largely disappointing season with the Rockets, guard Vassilis Spanoulis said there will not be another.

Spanoulis said Wednesday that he and his agent have told the Rockets many times he will not leave Greece for a second season in the NBA, or to play for another team in Europe.

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said on Tuesday that the Rockets still want Spanoulis back for next season and have no plans of releasing him from his three-year contract. Spanoulis cannot sign with any FIBA team, which includes the teams in the Greek league, unless released by the Rockets. Morey had no further comment on Wednesday.</div>

I am disappointed, but, I guess it is understandable. Sometimes you just gotta know your limits. Good Luck to Span! But, I hate him for messing with our cap situation (I would think this counts against the cap).

Spanulouis is stupid. We have a new coach, new system, and he still won't consider coming back. He's alright, but as good as he thinks he is. My reaction, HOLLA! Why Morey won't just release this guy baffles me[IMG]. We have about 10 guards and NO PF's right now. Just let the guy go...........

I say good riddance. He is walking drama. My only worry was that he might blossom under a different team. Now that has no chance of happening, glad we can get rid of him.

If we release him, will he count against the cap next season?

I can't believe I ever thought this kid could be someone in the NBA.

He never really got a chance on the Rockets though from how I saw it.

Well early on in the season he actually got some playing time but turned the ball over way too much and looked for his shot too often. Obviously under JVG you won't get more minutes if you can't impress in the time you have. He's stupid to reject the idea of coming back though as Adelman should be a coach much more suited for him and he would have a chance of establishing himself despite the point guard glut at the moment.

Morey should just suspend him without pay and make him mope in Greece without a chance to play anywhere or earn any money. Don't do him any favors.
