LG Member: Kobe says "We Need to Get Better"

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">David Vassay reporting from Kobe's camp. #24 stated that "WE need to get better." Apparently he still hasn't backed down from his trade request, but it's interesting that he would use the word "we" as opposed to "The Lakers." He also said that Kobe hasn't talked to Fisher about playing here either. The reason he met with Mitch was to apologize for what he said on that video.

Apparently he had an interesting response when Vassay asked him about KG... Joe is going to play audio within the hour!</div>

I like the fact that he apologized to Mitch.

At least Kobe realized that he isn't going anywhere. I guess Kobe is going to stay a Lakers.

I don't think that's the point. It's good to see that he's calmed down and not letting frustration speak for him. His words sound more productive and positive now.

No when I tried to listen to the audio it was to late. I was listening to live audio and not the KG thing.

He said "Keep signing the checks and I will do my best to get the Lakers to the lottery next year. It's the only way to get any help around here!"

^^Hahahaha. The Lakers rumor mill has been really quiet the past few days. I remember there was this same silence right before they traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown.

The trade took place during summer league competition. The trade caught everyone off guard, and there wasn't any sources linking the two teams dealing.
