25 minutes, 4 points, 9 assists, 1 rebound and 4 turnovers against the grizzlies i know that summer league level is not nba level, but his numbers are not bad, for me, it was a surprise now let see if he is consistent http://www.nba.com/summerleague2007/games/...meId=1520700003 once again, sorry for the english. i'm training PD: i create a new thread just to analise this match, not to comment the interview that brian put on another thread
I’m encouraged. I admit at first I didn’t like the Sun Yue pick at all, but he has grown on me. 9 assists in a Summer League game is still pretty impressive. He had the most assists in the entire game. I would like to see him score more than 2 points though
You guys forgot to mention he was with an International level team and they faced the Grizzlies summer league scrubs. The only Grizz that was good, or worth mentioning, was Rudy Gay. Summer League doesn't mean anything anyways, this is where: Kris Humphries=Tim Duncan Von Wafer dropp 40 points AI goes for 70+ Scrubs get to wear a NBA Jersey, it's a practice one at that.
The Summer League may not mean much, but Sun Yue went up against some quality talent in Mike Conley and Kyle Lowry
You needs to start somewhere, so this is the first test for these guys before NBA level competition. I don't know why everyone thinks its pointless. Some people don't even get to play at summer league level. I love Yue's pass first shoot 2nd mentality. He is very tall and I think will fit into the triangle if Jackson gives him the opportunity to play. The Lakers however still need a consistent 2nd scorer for this upcoming season. Odom has proven he is not it.

Right now, Im being as optimistic as possible. Look at how most Laker fans were at the beginning of last season were when the team was winning with basically the roster we have now. No one complained. Everyone was screaming championship and 50+ wins. Once the injuries mounted and problems started, everyone started harping about how the Lakers were not good.. bleh bleh bleh.... Got to look at the bright side to everything and I definitely think this cat has a big upside... Still, Im hoping for at least one or two nice Free Agent signings before the season starts. Someone who will actually contribute this year.
Sun did good nine assist is pretty good.If he could play like this in the NBA level he could do big things for us.
