Philadelphia Inquirer: "Why not send Miller to Los Angeles, a team desperate for a point-guard upgrade, for Kwame Brown, entering the last year of his deal, a precious $9 million salary that could come off Philly's books next summer? Washington would send center Etan Thomas, in whom the Sixers have had interest, to Philly, while sending guard Antonio Daniels to the Lakers."

Andre Miller doesn't fit the system and Daniels is more a of point guard. Evans is a good back-up for Kobe.

I think Philly loves Miller. He started turning things around, future looks bright with him in their line up. Wouldn't mind having Daniels, he has good exp.

The system of giving Kobe Bryant the ball, and getting out of the way? Miller better than anyone you have at the point guard spot right now, and he has decent size for a point guard (6'2" 200lbs). This deal would be good for both teams, the 76ers get cap room heading into the best free agency class in years, and Lakers add a veteran to give Kobe some more help.

He is over 30 years old, with the 76ers currently in rebuilding mode I think King would be willing to let him go for cap room and decent players in return. Miller deserves a chance to compete for a title with his career heading into its latter stage. Although, the Lakers aren't the ideal team for him to pursue a title with, they sure as hell have a better shot that Philly at this point.

I love Antonio Daniels, I'd love to try and acquire him. He brings experience and a good scoring presence off the bench, he could also start at PG if needed.

I definetly would not mind Andre Miller on this team. Miller was a big reason for the Sixers strong finish at the end of the season. He makes the players around him better and he is a great playmaker. I’m not exactly sure how well he’ll fit into the triangle offense, but I don’t think he’ll have that much trouble because he has a high basketball IQ. Miller can also help mentor Jordan Farmar and Jarvis Crittenton.

Kwame Brown has a 9 million dollar expiring contract. Being a Sixer fan myself, I would love to see 9 million dollars coming off of our salary next summer. We’ll probably not resign Kwame Brown after this season ends anyways, so why not at least try to get something in return for him? We can then use our MLE to target a center, most preferably Jamaal Maglorie. Our lineup next season could be:

    pg: Miller, Farmar, Crittenton
    sg: Bryant, Evans, Vujacic
    sf: Walton
    pf: Odom, Radmanovic, Turiaf, Cook
    c: Maglorie, Bynum, Mihm*

    * - I know Chris Mihm wants MLE type of money, but let’s be honest. What team out there is crazy enough to offer someone who has been injured for the last one and a half seasons the full MLE. It’s not going to happen. Mihm will probably come running back to us when it’s all said and done.

I agree, I wanted Antonio Daniels when he originally became a free agent after a breakout season with the Sonics. He would be the perfect complimentary backcourt player alongside Kobe Bryant.

Daniels plays very aggressive, and doesn't mind contact. He takes it to the rim, and also gets it done on defense. I like his confidence on the court and leadership qualities.

I know the Wizards are also looking to move Brendan Haywood.

Kwame would be able to come full circle if we shipped him back to the Wizards for Daniels and Haywood. [IMG]
