We were hearing tons of rumors/news the first 4-5 days of free agency, but virtually nothing since. So my question to you is do you think that Otis Smith has a master plan that is complete and that he wants to keep quiet until July 11th to let it go. Do you think he is still working out details, but is just keeping it quiet so he doesn't lose all leverage? Or do you think everything has fallen through? Typically there is silence before a HUGE move actually occurs and I find it odd that we haven't heard anything from anyone potentially involved in this. Orlando, Seattle, Darko/Cornstein and Gerald Wallace have all been eerily quiet. Could we possibly have a sign and trade down and a commitment with either/or both Gerald Wallace and Darko?(which is possible, since we have Darko's bird rights and can sign him over the cap) Not to mention Arroyo seems to think that Artest is on his way to Orlando. There's been no media attention from Darko's camp, since Cornstein called out Otis. He was in the news basically telling everyone how much interest Darko has and keeping the media updated(nearly every day) on all dealings with Darko and has been silent for at least 3-4 days. I haven't really heard anything at all from Gerald Wallace. He is easily the biggest name still available in FA and still no news. He was supposed to visit right after Shard and there has been no talk about him at all. Not to mention Otis hasnt really said anything other than signing Darko is still a priority. With July 11th being potentially the most important day in Orlando Magic history just 2 days away, it's weird that there is complete silence.
We shall find out soon enough. I'm psyched about it, two days away! I'd rather have Gerald Wallace than Artest obviously, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Artest either. If we get Shard, Darko, and Wallace/Artest... then I <3 Otis Smith. Silence is goldie!!
Bleh to Artest. Not what we need, and his character would not fit well on this team. Awesome if we signed Wallace, Shard, AND Darko. That's pure gold right there.
Maybe Otis is workin something where Hedo goes to Sactown. Artest goes to Charlotte. And Gerald Wallace comes to Orlando. lol I can dream can't I?
Silence is Golden. But Duct Tape is silver. Anyways, I think we should go after Gerald Wallace definitely. Do the damn trade with Seattle already. And resign Darko. Then give Otis Smith GM of the Year.
