<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">VISTA, Calif. -- Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence.

Buss, 74, was stopped May 29 after he was seen driving his car on the wrong side of the road in an unincorporated section of Carlsbad, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the district attorney's office, Buss was under the influence of an unspecified drug but refused to take a chemical test. He was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.
Buss was charged with one count each of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or greater.

Buss, who was not required to be in court, entered his plea through attorney David Manning Chodos.

Chodos declined to comment after the hearing.

Buss has previously said he only drove a short distance but acknowledged that he was wrong to do it.

Buss was near a home he owns in north San Diego County when he was stopped</div>

How on earth does he have the nerve to plead non guitly?
He failed the field sobriety test, refused to take the chemical test, and was seen driving on the wrong side of the road. Hopefully Justice is served on this one.

    Buss insane?

He could definitely plead insanity. Just look at the trades and free agent signings he authorized over the last five years. Shaq and Kwame examples should do it.

I'm honestly at a loss. I look at other threads of other teams, many have optimistic potential signings(Lewis to Orlando, Kapono to Toronto), great trades(Allen to the Celtics, Richardson to the 'Cats), but then I look at the Lakers section. Our players going to lesbian bars, our front office pleading non guilty after failing a field sobriety test, Kobe demanding a trade, Kupcake using the MLE on someone who is past their prime.....

What's wrong with the Lakers organization?

This kind of crap has been going on for years, right now it's just being more and more exploited.
