I want A.F.Venom and all the other people who think Wayne is good to explain to me and give me songs to listen to which explain why Wayne is good. Everything I've heard of his seems to be terrible but apparently I've been listening to the wrong sort of music. He's even been dubbed the Tupac of this generation by some. Anyway, I'm willing to take this seriously and I will listen to any recommendations.

It's things like this that make me wonder why so many people think he's great, so please show me the stuff to listen to.

That's actually one of the best verses he has. lol This guy is bad. He has a bunch of other stupid lines. Listen to Army Gunz, Stuntin like my Daddy and all his remixes.

I like some of Lil'Wayne's songs, but he isn't the greatest. He is way over-hyped.

People who listen to rap for the lyrics are confused.

When did I ever say he was "so good"? I just disagreed when you when you claimed he was crap and said he was the "Shawn Bradely" of the rap game...which is far from the truth.

He put out a really bad mixtape last year (Drought 3)..his guest features have been trash...there are some ok songs on his Carter 3 leak mixtape...But there is lots of nice music before all this.

    Start off with these disks:
    Tha Carter
    Dedication I
    Tha Carter II
    Dedication II

I thought he sucked too, until I found myself loving the song "best rapper alive". I like when he says he's the heart of New Orleans. Then I heard some of his spoken bits and he seems like actually a cool cat. He even says he doesn't really think he's better than anyone else. His flow at first sounded weird to me, but then I started to like it. I don't know if i would say I'm a Lil Wayne fan, but I'd rather listen to him than The Game, Young Jeezy, and many others

Lil Wayne is the man, stop the hate people. Music will never be "good" or "bad". Accept it.

A lot of my friends listen to him and claim he's the best out now.

Personally, I don't see what's so good about him. Most of the things he says I struggle to find what they mean.

Haven't heard the other full albums but I downloaded Tha Carter when it came out and it's utter crap. A line from "Cash Money Millionaires" stands out.

Money On My Mind and Best Rapper Alive are both great tracks.
You guys care too much about lyrics.
You want to learn something, read a book.
You're supposed to feel music, not read it.

"bow wow wow yippee yo yipee yay doggy dog's definitely in the houusee" sounds pretty stupid written down too, doesn't it?

Album is far from crap...you cited that same verse the last time this argument was going on.

    I Miss My Dawgs
    Bring It Back
    BM JR
    Earthquake
    The Heat
    Go DJ

the other tracks are listenable as well

Yeah I guess Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Kanye West, and 9th Wonder are just oblivious to hip hop aren't they? Your still stuck on people that like Wayne don't like "real" hip-hop? Please..

I'm not saying dude is a top notch lyricist or anything...but he makes good music...good hooks, good beats, and is good for a few quoatble punchlines.

All hip hop can't be all lyricism all the time...just like there is formula fiction that is still entertaining but there is great literature as well.

Yo Venom, what are your 5 favorite hiphop albums of all time, the ones you've listened to the most?

    Ready To Die

Lil Wayne is not an incredible rapper, but he isn't trash either. I like some of his stuff "n**** wit money", "where the cash at", etc. are good. He also has some good verses in remixes like "diamonds on my damn chain."
