    <u>Nets Prime Target?</u>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jul 11 - While the final touches were being applied to a new deal that will keep coach Lawrence Frank locked up until the team's move to Brooklyn, Nets brass prepared met with free agent center Jamaal Magloire in Orlando last night to gauge his interest in New Jersey.

Magloire could become a prime target if the Nets lose Mikki Moore to free agency.

"We have been having conversations," team president Rod Thorn said of discussions with Magloire's camp. "He's made the All-Star team, is a low post scorer, a tough player." -- New York Post </div>

They say this is a backup plan if they lose Mikki Moore, but I think the Nets would probably be better off with Magloire anyways.

Magloire would thrive with J-Kidd. He is a every night double double guy, on most nights, and is a good presence in the middle, which I Nets need since K-Mart left. He has never really had a good team, and then Nets would be a perfect fit for him.

As far as I know, Magloire is classy, dependable player. He should be a good pick up one way or another.

No Offer Made to Magloire.... Yet

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Nets have had dinner with Jamaal Magloire in order to get a gauge on why his career has taken a downturn and how well he would fit in with their team, but they have not yet made him an offer. That may be due to the other big men they are still looking at: Joe Smith, Jackie Butler, Maceo Baston and, of course, Mikki Moore.</div>

He would be a great addition, help with the size and rebounding as well as scoring on the low post. I think they would be better with him than Mikki Moore.

Yeah plus he's a good person. I mean from every interview I've seen he seems like a good guy. And just think he went from an allstar season with the Hornets to being buried on the bench at Portland that was full of bigmen. And I don't remember him complaining at all.

I think the nets would be better off with Magloire rather than Mikki Moore
