Gasol will not come this year

Reading spanish news, http://www.marca.es i realized that marc will not come this year

he wants to play for barcelona at least one more season, and then jump to the nba.

also, he was dissapointed with the draft, because he expected to be selected in the first round (spanish journalist said that marc and pau were togheter watching the draft in spain, and they thought that marc will be drafted by the spurs, last pick of the first round)

sorry for the english once again
at least i can tell you abaut marc's news from his home country spain

i have a question: sun yue will join the team this season or next?

Sun Yue will probably play overseas next season as well. The Lakers will track their progress and development, and when they feel the two are ready, they'll bring them back onto the roster.

No problem nice to be updated

I was expecting him to play overseas anyways, but I was surprised he thought he'd be picked higher there was a lot on the board at the Spurs made their pick.

Can't say I was expecting him to come over anyways. He's not ready yet and another year or so overseas should help his development.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MADRID, Spain -- Marc Gasol, the younger brother of Memphis Grizzlies forward Pau Gasol, is going to stay in Spain for now.

The 22-year-old center, drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 48th pick, said Wednesday he will spend another season with the Spanish club Akasvayu Girona.

"It's in my best interests to continue at Girona due to their ambitious sporting project and the great atmosphere in the team," Gasol said. "I want to work very hard and improve this coming year."

The 7-foot-1 Gasol, who helped Spain win the basketball world title last year, was also chosen to play for the national team at the European Championship in September.

Gasol averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 37 games this season.</div>
