Also, don't let summer league games change your entire perspective of a player. As time and time again have proven it may end up being nothing. Heck I even put the "i support Luis Scola to Chicago" thing in my signature. Considering the players we have at the position right now, basically Tyrus and Noah, its worth trading for him, especially if we can get him at a low price. Most of my concern from when this subject was originally brought up was that at the time it seemed like we had plenty of talent at the position, Khyrapa was complaining about playing time (etc.), like I stated before it would have been a shame to bring someone over just to warm the bench.
With the new NBA rules favoring players who can penetrate, Luis Scola will be unstoppable. He plays with the same disregard for his body Manu Ginobili does, but at the forward position. He looks for contact so he can get to the free throw line, and with the amount of whistles blown now, he'll make a living from the charity stripe. I'm not sure who the Spurs would want from Chicago, maybe Duhon and a future pick?
Contract issues with his foreign club. San Antonio will likely want more then Duhon and a pick for Scola I'm sure. That is, unless that pick is a future first rounder. They may go for that, but they'd be stupid to do so. I think the Bulls would have to give up another player or two draft picks.

They won't care to have Viktor. I'm sure they'd take Duhon, an '08 second round pick and an '09 first rounder or vice versa. They'd still get ripped off.

Plus the fact that he's a dominating offensive threat and if he transitions well enough he can be an All-Star. That's why we need him here because he'd adapt quickly with a close friend like Andr?s Nocioni on board.

Barret is tiny but he is a solid NBA player who can shoot very well and can dish the ball.

San Antonio basically gave Scola away, and Jackie Butler is a decent player when he gets PT. I don't even think VSpan is playing in the NBA this year. Didn't he just sign a deal to return to a club in Greece?
I'm starting to dislike our staff even further after this. The possible answer to the team's number one debacle could've been Scola and instead of topping the Houston deal with someone like Khryapa or Duhon we lose our opportunity and the Rockets land him for cheese and crackers.

Duhon + Khryapa would be a little over 4 million. So dont dislike our staff there was nothing the Spurs wanted from us.
No offense to you, bro, but either you read incorrectly or apparently there isn't a major difference between "plus" and "or" in your grasp of the English language. Both players are two single examples and this organization could've had a deal go through with dozens of other options that they have at their disposal. There still is no confirmation anywhere that I am aware of the Spurs wanting that deal for salary purposes. If indeed that is the case, the Bulls have plenty of players to make such a deal as the Rockets had done. Anyway, Pax is a good GM in my book, but sometimes his hesitations piss me off. He isn't aggressive in the market.
Is Scola still under contract with a Spanish team? I'm not quite sure why he didn't just play with the Spurs.
