<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Kings have signed free-agent forward Mikki Moore, according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein.

The deal is for three seasons, at the mid-level exception. The first two seasons and half of the third season are guaranteed, according to Bartelstein. The 7-foot, 223-pounder has played for seven franchises, most recently the New Jersey Nets. He turns 32 in November.

Moore went undrafted out of Nebraska in 1998.

One day after the Kings came close to sending point guard Mike Bibby to Cleveland in a deal involving Cavaliers forward Drew Gooden, Moore's signing appears to negate that possibility.

That was random. Geez...you guys should just rebuild completely.

In other news, Kevin Martin has added 14 lbs of muscle:

Mmmmm...that's scary with KMart. So is he going to be starting on the Kings, and what's going on with Bibby?

^ what the hell does that mean? Anyways, Moore is going to be a bust. He had a breakout year last season because it was his contract year, plus, he was playing with Jason Kidd

lol, every year is a contract year for a journeyman like Moore who went around signing 1 year contracts.

Yea I was thinking the same thing, isn't he always on a contract year? I think he should be fine, he has a jumpshot, Jason Kidd didn't teach him the jumpshot. Get him open shots and he'll be good on your team. He's only an okay rebounder and defender though.

Didn't they just draft a center with a jumper in Spencer Hawes though?

To me, this is a slap in the face of Hawes, who has a very similar skillset to Moore at this point in his career. With Hawes and Miller at center, where is Moore going to fit in?

I suppose one of the three will log time out of position at the four.

Then you're going to have an unhappy SAR or Kenny Thomas. This team is a mess.

I say they go with this lineup for the year:

    PG Douby
    SG Martin
    SF Garcia
    PF SAR
    -C Hawes

    Playoff bound!

Oh I don't understand the signing at all, I really don't know what Sacramento is planning on doing right now.

This either means a trade is the work for one or two of their bigs, or they just have no plans of Hawes stepping onthe court this year at all.

^ Can someone explain that to me? So the Kings can cut Moore halfway through the 2010 season? I've never seen a contract where half of a season was guarenteed

Miller is on his way out, Hawes will replace him by next season. The guy this hurts is Justin Williams. He came on strong the end of last year with hustle and strong rebounding. He's also got the best body for big guy on the kings

it means they have to pay him the money they owe him for the first two years, and 1/2 the money in the 3rd year. in other words if he is cut, released, or has a career ending injury they have to give him the money for the two years and 1/2 the money they owe him for the 3rd. if he plays the whole 3 years he gets all the money.
