<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to a user, Dr. Laker, at the forums at LakersGround.net, McDonell was defending the Derek Fisher signing, but he was defending it in primarily in the context of ?step one in a series of steps.? He then said that the Lakers ARE very much working on a huge deal (no names were dropped), but that after the team?s recent lack of media discipline, they are playing it very close to the vest and keeping things quiet. McDonnell used to have credibility with the Lakers (during the Jerry West regime) and may still have an inside line. In any event - My question is: IF the Lakers are working on a secret, huge move, how likely are they to be successful? Sound-off </div>
I've heard some rumors from a Celtics source involving them getting Odom in a 3 way involving KG. I don't know, I'll believe it when I see it.
I said this some time ago that things were suspiciously too quiet, but Mamba is right there's been too many rumors so we should believe when we finally see
They must have something lined up for them to justify Fisher's signing. You don't bring in Fisher if you don't plan on making a serious title run.
Its good that theyre keeping things quiet... hell they should have NOT disclosed this info to us... so that when something does happen all of us would feel ecstatic instead of being disappointed again when a rumor fails to push through after being hyped up
Okay great. Big whoop. Now make something happen for once Mitch. I don't care if you're working your ass off 24 hours a day. We need a big change, and unless you give us that big change, it's just all talk
I doubt much will happen to be honest. Everything always seems to "fall through" at the 11th hour. I think it will be the same line up but with Fish back in the gold and purple.
