The Wizards get a win. I really like how Dominic get's to the basket, he's very good at penetrating, and he's good at finding players in traffic or with the drive and kick. Visser the dunk misser robbed him of an assist in this game. Playing with better finishers and shooters, McGuire can rack up a good amount of assists for a SF in the NBA. I knew McGuirre wasn't a big man, but I didn't know he could play so well on the perimeter, he's probably a better passer and ball handler (not in terms of fancy dribbling) than all the SG's on the team. Opec continued to impress with his rebounding. I love how active he is at attacking the glass on both ends. I also loved the three he hit to answer back when Pittsnoggle hit one down the stretch, that was nice. They said he's 235 lbs now, still too small for C in the NBA, and there's no minutes at PF, but if he can get to 250 lbs in a year, he can be like Mehmet Okur with better rebounding. I didn't know his three point shot was that good, man. In all the summer league games he's averaging 8.8 RPG in just 27 mins, also 15.2 PPG and he's shot 53.3% from downtown hitting 3 three's in two games. He's hit at least on three in each game. Nick Young also played well to end the game, getting to the line and MAKING his FT's, and he hit the nice jumper. He made a nice defensive play pressuring the ball and forcing the travel call on Gibson. I'd still like to see Young add some more dimensions to his game, he's still only a scorer, and probably will mainly be that his whole career, but if he can add a little more in the other areas it would be nice. His long arms and athletic ability give him hope on the defensive end. Anyways, good game.
Pecherov is pretty nice crashing the boards, instead of banging it, I still don't know if he'll be a nice rebounder in the NBA. Og15, is this your first Wizards summer league game you watched?
Yup, I saw part of one, but not enough. I kept missing all of them on NBA TV EDIT: Actually it's because during the week I'm at my apartment b/c I'm taking some summer courses, but on the weekends I'm at home with the NBA TV. My internet at the apartment isn't fast enough for me to get good streaming.
Here check these out when you get the time, then you'll probably wonder what the hell I'm talking about in all these game threads, lol. Wizards vs. Pistons Wizards vs. Kings They don't have the Rockets one up yet.
That's pretty sweet, I'll have to watch those, I saw the highlights from the Pistons game, saw some Maxiell domination there.
