Anyone hear of any other rumors or anything? Will this be our final roster? We desperately need a SG and a PF in the worst way. Do you guys think Otis is satisfied enough with our team not to make anymore moves? The most likely way to improve is via trade(likely with Hedo or expiring contracts), but we still can sign guys to the minimum. Who is out there that could be on the trading block or that would interest you for the minimum?
I'd like getting Alexander Johnson as a backup PF. He just got released and I'm sure he wouldnt ask for more money and would love returning home to Florida. (Sry, the garnet and gold in my blood is showing.) I dont know how probable it is, but I'd love to have PJ Brown to play for us. Good vet guy who hustles for rebounds and hasnt lost his step quite yet. With the addition of Joe Smith up in Chicago means hes likely off the squad. Maybe we can coax him outta retiring. As for the 2/3 spot, I just realized we could go after Mikael Pietrus. He could provide great shooting off the bench. Or possibly replace Hedo if we trade him.
Desmond Mason?? What other possible big man is there now?? We waited too long. I think we'll be the same as last season.

We certainly won't have enough to sign Pietrus, but I like getting another body like Johnson. I would prefer a veteran big like PJ, but who knows if we can convince him not to retire. That would allow us to just have Gortat/Augustine be the 4th big. With Johnson we would still have very inexperienced guys going after the 3rd/4th big spots. It would open up a pretty tough competition for those spots and will allow all of them to get better. I'd prefer to go after others before Johnson, but I still wouldn't be disappointed if we got Johnson. That's why I wouldn't be surprised to see Ariza/Shard/Hedo playing in spurts at PF.
Aww man that trade would have been good. Joel is a good shotblocker and would complement Dwight. I think we'll get someone old and deceased for our roster. Bring on Dale Davis if he's available or not. We need Fran Vasquez over here asap.
