Dalembert May Play For Canada <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jul 16 - There was no on-the-record confirmation, but it appears that Sixers center Samuel Dalembert is on the verge of being granted eligibility to play for Canada in the pre-Olympic qualifying tournament next month in Las Vegas. Former Sixer Leo Rautins is the Canadians' coach. -- Philadelphia Daily News</div> <div align="center"></div> Good for the Canadian Team, just a little weird to me since he's not even a Canadian citizen.
Lmao, I was just thinking, why but I'm happy. I want any athlete to play for Team Canada. Magloire, and Dalmebert, isn't bad. I wish Nash came to play for us...

I remember reading about this a while back, his mom and his sister are apparently Canadian. Watch Dalembert request a trade to the Suns...cause I can see him and Nash working out nicely.
I don't like how they let any player of any nationality play for whichever international team they choose, more or less. I know you have to have some sort of roots with the country, but they can be very indirect, like in the case of Aloysius Anagonye, who was born and grew up in Southfield, a rough neighborhood outside of Detroit, Michigan and went to Michigan State University for four years, winding up with a degree in general management, yet for some reason was cleared to play for Nigeria's national team. Besides, if Dalembert wants to play in the Pan American games, why didn't he try to make it through the Haitian national team? He's actually from there.

Well Brian has more of a chance starting his own juice company to rival Kool Aid than that happening, but damn that would be sick...

He's too dumb to understand the concept of run and gun offense

However, Nash dosen't as far as I know, play for Team Canada anymore.
