I heard on ESPN that the Wolves owner is going to stick with KG and not to trade him. I found the link and here it is; http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2939327 I'm kind of mad that there not going to get rid of KG. I guess the Lakers have to go and get JO. What do you think?
It is disappointing, but we all knew the Lakers didn't have anything Minnesota wanted. They had no interest in Odom or Bynum (our two best trade pieces), so landing KG would have to involve a 3rd team. Working out a 3-way deal is tough to pull off, especially with all the salary cap constraints.
I don't know how legit this is, but we were never going to land Garnett in the first place, so I don't really feel disappointed. Maybe he'll opt out next offseason and we can sign him with the MLE (wishful thinking)
I think this is BS.... I think Wolves are saying this to keep KG's value up. They know he is gone after next year so why not get at least something for him? Although I know that Lakers are not offering equal value for KG, Lakers do have the best offer on the table at this time. I think it is a wating game at this point and at the end KG will be in LA.

Adding Fisher, Walton, and Crittenton have been their only moves up to this point. Our backcourt production will improve, but the Lakers didn't address the defensive side of the ball or land any athletic frontcourt players.
Article is BS I doubt KG wants to stay in Minni he doesn't want to play there but he can't talk or say anything.
KG does not sound like he wants to leave Minni... seems he is content with being a losser as long as he is getting paid the big bucks..

He seems like he's just really comfortable there, and eventhough he isn't winning I guess that's enough for him.
I don't know, I've talked to Shape about this before, in fact he's the one who brought it up to me. I don't think KG wants to play second fiddle to anybody, if he really wanted out...Minnesota would trade him, out of respect for everything he's given the franchise--a face, blood, sweat, tears, emotion, wins, a solid fan base. I think they'll let KG opt out of his contract and let him decide where he goes to play. KG second fiddle to Kobe? I don't think he'd like that. Also, I think he's got a lot of loyalty to Minnesota. They saved him, they gave him a chance in life and I think, again I think, he feels like he owes it to them to play for them.
According to the LA Times, a PA announcer (I think it was a sporting event) put Garnett on the screen and said a team could really use you in purple and gold, and he did NOT look amused.

They will be better off with KG walking at the end of the season and getting all his cap room for future free agents rather than a bunch of stiffs like the Lakers got. Unless Indiana wants Kwame and next years no. 1 for JO forget it. He doesn't add anything that Bynum may not be able to match. I say write this year off and stick with Farmar and Bynum with Kobe, Odom and Walton and give them mucho minutes to sink or swim, who knows maybe we make the playoffs and not go to the lottery.
