<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With these unique, if not somewhat off-putting, circumstances in mind, here are the five most feasible trade scenarios for all parties involved, ranked from worst to first. 5. Kobe Chases Logoman's Shadow Lakers get: Pau Gasol, Kyle Lowry, Mike Miller Grizzlies get: Kobe Bryant Why it works: This is a version of the trade that's rumored to be a possibility but it has a slight wrinkle with Lowry added on, which should make it palatable for Kupchak. Pau and Miller would work well with Odom on the frontline, the Lakers hold the rights to Pau's brother, Marc, and if Lowry joined the Lakers today, he'd be the top point guard on the team, Derek Fisher included. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, would have a starting lineup of Conley, Kobe, Gay, Warrick and Darko. With Gay's rapid development, that lineup could make some noise in the West, but most importantly for Kobe, it has more upside than what he's working with now. Why it doesn't work: The chances aren't terrific that Kobe accepts a deal to play in Memphis. If only Jerry West had stuck around a couple of weeks ... 4. Kobe Hears More Cowbell Lakers get: Ron Artest, Francisco Garcia, Brad Miller Kings get: Kobe Bryant Why it works: Miller is still a viable option at center and would complement Odom very well down low, Garcia is an up-and-comer, and the Gotham duo of Artest and Odom would work very well together at the 3-4 spots. Plus, the Artest-Zen Master pairing is straight out of a Ron Shelton screenplay. As for the Kings, they have Spencer Hawes and Mikki Moore to make up for Miller's departure, Artest has never really fit in Mootown, and Kobe is the kind of big name the Maloofs would love to have on their roster ... or at their poker table at the Palms. Why it doesn't work: The Artest flake-out factor is enough to scare any team off. Plus, would the Sacto faithful ever be able to fall in love with someone who broke their hearts so many times? Plus, would Bibby ever be able to suit up next to Kobe without flinching every time KB flexed his elbow? Plus, Kobe would eat grin-at-all-costs new coach Reggie Theus for lunch. (The last one's a guarantee.) 3. Kobe Works for "The Man" Lakers get: Adam Morrison, Emeka Okafor, Jason Richardson Bobcats get: Kobe Bryant Why it works: The Lakers get Kobe Lite in J-Rich, they get a legit center in Okafor, and they get a guy who could still blossom into a recognizable (key word in L.A.) star in Morrison. At the same time, the Bobcats would have a starting lineup of Felton, Kobe, Wallace, Herrmann and Brezec. That would be enough to challenge in the East. Plus, MJ as Kobe's boss? Turn that into a BET reality series and Bob Johnson could pay for Kobe's contract with ad revenues alone. Why it doesn't work: Primoz is primo-big, man, but he's not a primo big-man, meaning the 'Cats wouldn't have much in the middle. And the Lakers would be gambling on Morrison's development ... and Okafor's health ... and J-Rich's high-flying act being enough to leave superficial Lakers fans feeling like, well, superficial Lakers fans. 2. Kobe Takes Manhattan Lakers get: Jamal Crawford, Eddy Curry, David Lee Knicks get: Kobe Bryant Why it works: In Crawford, Curry and Lee, the Lakers are getting three things that they desperately need -- outside shooting, interior scoring, and tons of boards. After acquiring Zach Randolph, the Knicks can afford to make this move, as they still have plenty of low-post punch left in Z-Bo and Randolph Morris. More than anything, though, it's Kobe Bryant in NEW YORK FRICKIN' CITY. Why it doesn't work: The Lakers should be fine with their haul on this one, but even Zeke might find this too much to give up. Still, it just won't work without throwing Lee in there as Kupchak isn't likely to pull the trigger on Crawford and Curry alone. And Isiah, if you want to make the playoffs, No. 24 is guaranteed to get you there. 1. Kobe Gets Dirty Lakers get: Josh Childress, Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams Hawks get: Kobe Bryant Why it works: The Lakers should be satisfied with their take on this one, as Joe Johnson is arguably the best two-guard in the game after Kobe and D-Wade, Childress is a great complementary player, and Williams is the type of high-flyer who could keep Jack, Leo and the rest of the Staples faithful entertained for years to come. The Hawks, meanwhile, get that rare star player who could lift them to new heights and inject enthusiasm back in the moribund Hotlanta hoops scene. Not only that, but a starting lineup of Law, Kobe, Josh Smith, Horford and Pachulia would be terrifying for the rest of the East. And further still, Ted Turner and T.I. might not be Denzel and Ice Cube, but the local luminaries would be enough to satiate Kobe's ego. Why it doesn't work: The only thing that would stop this one is the Lakers' concern that they aren't getting enough back for Kobe. But Johnson is developing into a Kobe-esque talent, just without the constant bickering. And if Kupchak doesn't bite? Knight should consider dangling Smith out there. Kobe's simultaneous exit and arrival would help both teams to such a degree that it's worth finding a way to make this deal happen.</div> Source: Sports.AOL.COM
I like that NY deal. But can Kobe and Zach co-exist? I dont know about that. But I can see Isaiah going for that move. I guess that would give Jerome james a second shot at center Star Kobe Q rich Zach James If they could find a way to keep Lee that would be great I would throw nate and someone else in to keep lee.
All of those teams are not even close to being championship contenders. I don't see Kobe leaving to any of those teams.
No trade is going to happen. If Kobe goes then Buss goes down in history as the worst owner in the history of team sports, the same way history remembers Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

Actually, Buss is one of the most successful owners in sports history.
Kobe won't want to go to Atlanta or Charlotte, there're not big market cities. The Knicks have already clearly said that they won't trade Curry. Lakers get raped in the Sacramento deal, and the Lakers wouldn't want to trade Kobe to back in the west in Memphis. All of these trades look horrible to me. The only trade i would even consider is the Bulls trade proposal a while ago.
<div class="quote_poster">Dark Hero Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I like that Memphis trade getting Paul and Miller will be great...</div> It's Pau, not Paul. And why the hell would Memphis do that deal? Kobe's the best individual talent in the game, but even the league's best player isn't worth a duo like Gasol and Miller. Not only that, but why would he want to stay in Memphis? West is gone, it's a small market, and even though players like Lowry, Gay, Conley, Jr., and Warrick are promising, they're still young and developing talent, the type of which Kobe's trying to separate himself from.
Kobe wants to win now, why would he go to Memphis with no All-Star in Gasol. We would want to play with him, not get traded for him.
That Kings trade is a steal for the Kings. We'd get robbed, big time. That Bobcats deal is insane, though. Wow, Emeka, Morrison, AND Richardson? No way

We'd be on the benefit, big time and leave the Bobcats robbed like an old lady. All of those deals are steals for the Lakers, the only one realistic is the Kings & Knicks one. Even then, without even landing Kevin Martin, there's no way we'd be moving forward with that Sac trade. The Knicks deal I'm on the fence with. We get a pretty decent inside presence in Curry, Lee who can do almost of anything, and Crawford who has some upside.
