<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Welcome back bad attitude. Welcome back selfishness. Welcome back lame nickname.

Hello bad team chemistry. Hello logjam at the guard position. Hello injury problems.

The Rockets officially welcomed back Steve Francis on Friday, touting the move as one that will make the team better.

    Oh, really?

Francis never lived up to the hype of his nickname ?Franchise? when he played for the Rockets the first time around, despite having five years to turn the program into a contender.

In the three seasons since the overrated guard was dealt to Orlando for Tracy McGrady, he?s been on three rosters ? Orlando, New York and Portland. He never played a game for the Trailblazers, who bought out his contract and gave him $30 million this offseason just to stay out of Portland.</div>

I think Francis has become much more humble and has put winning first now. He's matured these past few years and I don't think this article really touch up on that. I personally think that Francis has changed for the better, but I do think people overrate how much of an impact he'll have.

Im nuetral on this signing because I didnt like steve francis much but you have to admit that he does add a lot of talent on the squad. With that said....

This time around he doesn't need to be the franchise because we have tmac and Yao. If the writer of this article doesn't understand that then he should be fired. 10/3/6 is more than enough from him because we have a deep bench.

I can't believe people are criticizing this pick up, the way I look at it is the deal "will not hurt us"....if Francis is injured, has a bad attitude, or his game is gone then he'll sit on the bench...plain and simple......but if he still has something left in the tank (which I think he does) then he can be another scoring threat off the bench which struggled to score last season...Steve is 30 now and he could have taken more money elsewhere, but he came to Houston because he loves this town and he wants to win right now....he also seems to have a good relationship with Tmac, him and Yao have always been cool, and Adleman handled Ron Artest so I'm sure Stevie won't be that hard of a task for him......he also won't be called on to do all of the creating so we won't see as many turnovers like we did in the past.

I definitely sense a change in Francis' attitude considering how little he took to come here.

That being said, there is that risk with Francis. I guess we won't know till he plays whether he's matured or not.

I believe we have a different Steve Francis. When did Franchise every talk about winning games before? I believe he is right him and Tracy and Yao have done all they needed to do on a personal level and now they need to put it together and win the big one. Francis bring passion to the calm demeanors of yao and tracy. Francis and James are the too players that will pump everyone up in the locker room. Great signing.
