Just watching the scrimmage on TV here. Durant has 15 pts and 5 boards so far. 4th quarter just started. He's showed some good moves including his signature spin move and a nice tip in. Anyone else watching?
I missed it, but are there going to be any replays? This is something I could really get into from start to finish. Sounds like Durant's really doing great with those numbers though. I'm not sure what kind of defense they're playing or the tempo of the game, but 15 points and 5 boards in what is essentially a competitive All-Star game is really impressive for a rookie, and in a way, it confirms all the hype around him.
They've been playing some zone and man to man. It helps to have a bunch of Allstars playing alongside him, but yeah it's great experience. They're playing it on FSN and showing repeats.. Edit: Yeah I just realize that the game I was watching the cut 3 minutes so I was like WTF?
I was veeeryyy impressed with Kevin Durants play he held his own very well and even out performed alot of other guys.
Durant played unbelievably well in the scrimmage. Both teams played very hard and it definitely did not have an All-Star game feel to it. Watching the game I am convinced that Durant's future in the league is on the perimeter. The only time that he ventured into the paint in this game was on an offensive putback or in transition. He had a size advantage on everyone that was guarding him but he was content staying on the perimeter and hoisting up jump shots. This kid is going to be a star but he was able to shoot such a high percentage because he was often the third and fourth option on the floor. In Seattle he will be the first, second, and third option and it is going to be more difficult for him to get high percentage shots. Regardless he looked impressive on both ends and I am very excited to see his game develop. I really believe that we received the best player in the draft.
