    sigh.....*

    PG- Smush Parker
    SG- Dorell Wright
    SF- Antoine Walker
    PF- Udonis Haslem
    -C- Shaquille O'Neal

Our potentially opening day lineup next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Shaq called it a career after '08.

Just give Barnes the full MLE. We suck and we need help. Anything would be nice. Thank you.

He's signing with the Clippers I believe.

EDIT: Clippers gave him an offer

Can't give Barnes the full MLE if you just used part of it on Smush. You can have Pietrus in a S&T though [IMG].

Glad Smush is off the Lakers, dude was a ball buster against the Warriors always nailing 3's in the last second of the shotclock or flopping around like an idiot.

How about a sign and trade...Walker for Barnes. Come on, you know you want it. Walker fits in PERFECTLY with Nelson and the Warriors [IMG]

Sorry, don't think we can S&T Barnes since hes unrestricted. Also Walker is way too fat to play for Nellie. [IMG]

Smush was an awful signing, he's a very lazy player with a bad attitude and zero playmaking ability. I would hate to have him on my team. This won't take pressure off of Jason Williams minutes at all.

IMO all smush can do is dunk. its hard to see how he will fit with the heat.

Brevin Knight doesn't work that well for Miami since they run a lot of the offense through Wade, and they don't need a great playmaker at PG. They need a good ball handler who can defend and shoot, and if he's a good passer that's a bonus. Brevin Knight can't shoot, he's made like 10 three's his whole career, and he can steal but is very small, and doesn't defend well. Smush Parker as sucky as he is probably fits better than Knight because Knight's playmaking won't be used fully on the Heat so he becomes pretty useless.

Did Miami attempt going after Charlie Bell? Better player, shooter, defender, can also handle the ball, and he's not a playmaker, but he's okay in that area. He's the kind of guy that would fit very nicely with them, but I Milwaukee should be bringing him back as they have no backup PG.

I was under the impression the Heat would sign Brevin Knight as the backup. The second unit could benefit from Brevin Knight because of his playmaking ability. When Wade goes to the bench, the Heat don't have anyone else on the court who can create offense except for Antoine Walker, but he likes to get off 4 shots before he looks to set anyone else up.

Charlie Bell makes a lot of sense, but the Bucks plan to match any reasonable offer for him. The Heat only have $2.5M to spend, and the Bucks likely match to keep Bell.

Actually I meant going after Charlie Bell before doing the Smush Parker signing, they can't get him now. Yea, Knight could work with the second unit, but Wade is still on the court for 38 MPG or so, so there's only 10 mins he could be one where Wade isn't there. Having Knight and Jason Williams as your PG's can be scary though, and not in the good way. Knight loves to miss games, and Jason Williams misses games while not loving it. You could have games with both out, and it's quite likely he would be pushed into the starting lineup at some point in time with JWill ahead of him b/c of injury.
