Dwight had one of the most productive rookie seasons than any HS player has ever had. He was the first player to avg a double double straight out of HS since Moses Malone did it back ages ago. Hell he was one of the few players PERIOD that avg a double double his rookie year in the NBA(Off the top of my head I think Duncan being the most recent). Not to mention he was the first HS player EVER to start in all 82 games. Lebron, KG, Moses, Amare, Kobe, Tmac, JO, etc NEVER DID THAT. Not to mention that half of those players were wings and didn't have to bang their bodies around down low like Dwight had to. Since when was 12 and 10 similar to 8 and 6? You can't really compare many big men coming out of HS to Dwight Howard at all.

McHale. The same guy who many thought was a terrible GM. No one can fault McHale now, he traded an old PF who wasn't going to do anything in the West, for tons of young talent(plus a pick) and a giant expiring contract. This makes me think, if McHale was indeed such a terrible GM, where does that place Mitch? All he has done this off season is the signing of Fisher.
this is some of the most depressing news as a laker fan. the fact that all kobe really needed to make the lakers contenders again was another star player, and Peirce gets two stars just like that. but i guess peirce does deserve a break, i mean the guy works his butt off for years now, and for what? well KG and ray allen, thats what. kobe has attitude problems and a terrible personality and is always difficult to deal with, that doesnt mean he is a bad player, just that he is hard to manage and finds it hard to communicate and interact with others. i have said this before and ill say it again, i am a laker fan, not a kobe fan, i wouldnt mind if he was traded, just as long as we make the right desisions on what we receive and how we rebuild then im happy. i think kobe will eventually be traded this season or next.

As for KG, maybe he's going to be like Karl Malone, an excellent baller until he's traded to that "championship" team. I don't know how well Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are going to mesh, but it doesn't even matter because THEY GOT KG!!!! Mitch better be trying to piece together a trade for JO and Artest or else Kobe is going to say, "Paul Pierce asked for a superstar or he was gone, and he got TWO. I asked for a superstar or I'm gone, I get FISHER." The organization is just using Kobe to fill their pockets. We need a more passionate-about-the-game GM like Jerry West or Jerry Colangelo. Secondly, Bynum official rookie season is last season, NOT the year before. He barely even got playtime and when he did, it was garbage minutes. Thirdly, I mentioned Dwight Howard as a good measuring stick to what kinds of player Bynum may becomes. Lastly, I said comparing at their respectable playtime minutes, it is not too shabby for a guy who hasn't play college basketball, not even much HS senior basketball, to average 8pgg/6rpg/2apg/1.5bpg with ONLY 20 mins of playtime, AND is not EVEN a 3rd or 4th option on this team. He was supposed to be a 3rd string center, NOBODY, I mean NOBODY expected Bynum to hold his ground at a Lakers starting center for a sketch. Go ahead, and do a research, how many big in this league can put up Bynum's number with only 20mins of playtime. People always say Diop is the closest to Bynum. Looks at Diop and Bynum's production. They both receive the same amount of playtime and were a backup center. Diop's best season, in his 5th NBA season, he puts up only 2ppg/5rpg/0.5apg/1.5bpg. Thats laughable. I don't want to say Bynum will turns out to be a star or whats not. But giving the type of production he puts up with a limit amount of playtime, it is not too unreasonable to say Bynum won't be a star in this league. Now don't bother replying to me if you can't read because I clearly stated his production at his limit minutes.
I was relieved that KG didn?t get traded to a western conference team but out of all teams in the east, i didn?t want him to be a celtic. i hate them green leprechauns with a passion.

Bird, McHale, and Ainge must have had a lot of fun times at our expense with all the trade rumors surrounding KG and JO heading to LA.
I don't think we will ever hear MVP chants for Kobe in Boston again. This time, when we play Boston, we will be the horrible team.
