With the recent KG trade...I wanted to see what everyone thought of the eastern conference standings and western conference standings.

Base your answers on the fact that each team would be relatively healthy with no major health problems.

    Western Conference
    1. Phoenix Suns
    2. San Antonio Spurs
    3. Houston Rockets
    4. Utah Jazz
    5. Dallas Mavericks
    6. Denver Nuggets
    7. LA Clippers
    8. golden state warriors

    Eastern Conference
    1. Detroit Pistons
    2. Boston Celtics
    3. Orlando Magic
    4. Chiacgo Bulls
    5. Cleveland Cavaliers
    6. Miami Heat
    7. New Jersey Nets
    8. Toronto Raptors

    6. Golden State
    7. Nuggets
    8. Hornets

    Eastern Conference
    1. Celtics
    2. Cavs
    3. Raptors
    4. Heat
    5. Bulls
    6. Pistons
    7. Magic
    8. Atlanta ..........just to switch it up a little bit

I still think the Pistons will be tough come playoff time, but I don't see them winning their division next season, and I think both Chi-town and Cleveland will have better records....as far as the hornets go, if they had been healthy this past season they would've made the playoffs...even with all their injuries they were still in the hunt the last couple of weeks...they got a good young team over there....and Orlando will be better, but not good enough to get past the 2nd round imo....Dwight still needs to develop a consistent offensive game.

Orlando has a strong team. I might be overrating them because they did have Grant Hill last season, but they are still pretty solid.

You have the Raptors having a better record than the Bulls?

Raptors are in a weaker division, and I think Bargiani will be better this year, and I think Bosh will take that next step up to greatness .... and yeah no N.J., eventhough they probably will make it....I just think the hawks have a lot of talent and it would be fun to see some new blood in the playoffs....the Hawks pick is more wishful thinking than anything else.

The Hawks need to establish that depth that they have.

[RANT]I don't see whats the hype around Miami, the Bulls just swept them last year in the first round, they did nothing to improve. Shaq is a year older, Wade will be Wade but as McGrady (Orlando) and KG (Minnesota) have shown, one guy can only do so much. They aren't going to get home court next season, especially if Wade misses the start of the regular season I think its going to be a dog fight for them to even make the playoffs. Posey might leave, Payton is retired, Zo doesn't even know if he is coming back. [/RANT]

This is in record order (I'm probably going to forget/underrate someone, but what the hey)...

    West:
    1. Phoenix Suns
    2. Dallas Mavericks
    3. San Antonio Spurs
    4. Houston Rockets
    5. Utah Jazz
    6. New Orleans Hornets
    7. Denver Nuggets
    8. Toss up between Golden State/ Portland

    East:
    1. Boston Celtics
    2. Chicago Bulls
    3. Detroit Pistons
    4. Orlando Magic
    5. New Jersey Nets (don't buy their hype)
    6. Cleveland Cavaliers
    7. Toronto Raptors
    8. Charlotte Bobcats (that's a twist)

Edit: Totally forgot about Washington they will be in the mix too.

    Bubble Teams: Knicks, Heat, Hawks

I don't think we should instantly presume that the Celts will win the East. Like KG said, chemistry is still going to be an issue and that is something they will have to develop. I'd put the Celtics at 3rd-5th in the East.

I don't know why people rate the Celtics so high. Outside those 3, they don't have anyone else. Bench and role players matter a lot too.

Celtics are high because in the East 3 all-stars can bring you into the playoffs.

celtics also play in the worst division in the league. They will easily dominate the two next best teams in the division.

    Toronto- Garnett will pount Bosh
New Jersey- Big 3 vs Big 3 but Celtics Big 3 is easily better.
