Melo had finished 3rd in last years voting behind Duncan and Garnett in a year where he faced the suspension. It seems as though this year Melo should start then because I do not see another player really overthrowing him this year.

Huh? I don't see him getting more votes than Duncan or T-Mac.

Al Jefferson will be an All Star but I doubt anyone will take Melo's spot. Brand will be there but not much else, Durant maybe.

I think this year it's gonna be Dirk, Marion, Stoudemire, and possibly Melo. If they count Stoudemire as a center. I hope he makes it though.

Melo should be a starter if he plays like he did last year with AI. This team will be deadly with the opportunity to play a whole year with each other with no suspensions and no major trades happening. AI, Melo, and Camby should be on the all-star team.

Well he's making the All-Star team no matter what, so as long as he's on there, it's all good.

I hope he makes it, and while we're at it, I hope they change the all star voting soon so it rewards guys performance instead of their popularity.

First off, Elton Brand is a non-factor for the All-Star game this year because he won't return until around that time. Also, Al Jefferson is my guy, and I do believe that he will be an All-Star at some point in his career, but I doubt he makes it this year. There are too many star big men in the West right now, and Big Al still has a lot of room to grow. You've got Duncan, Dirk, a healthy Gasol, Boozer, Amare, and Yao. There's no room for Jefferson right now.

On topic, I think I'm with what everybody else is saying. He's not going to get more votes than McGrady.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Did you all miss when Yi signed a contract with Milwaukee, and supposedly recieved a guarantee of 20 minutes per game?
