    Alright, here's hoping. I didn't understand why they'd trade him in the first place. 4 players and a couple draft picks for Kevin Garnett seemed like enough.

    Everybody that's read more than 10 of my posts knows that this would make me very happy, but realistically, it just isn't going to happen. Why would they even take Gomes in the trade if they were just going to release him? The salaries would have matched up with or without Gomes involved in the deal, so even that wouldn't make sense.

    Agreed. Besides, since they cut Troy Hudson, they've only got 14 players on the roster (and Chris Richard, who they haven't inked to a set deal yet), so it's not like they need to cut someone heading into the season.

    I wonder where the guy who wrote this article got his information from.

    I'm pretty sure it was a well respected poster at RGM who brought it up. The "source" is Celticsblog, which is just a blog that passes along information.

    It's unlikely but i don't see where he is going to get any minutes. At the 3 he is behind Davis, Brewer, and Hassell. At the four he is behind Smith, Jefferson, Maybe Blount and Howard as well.
