Because of the Kevin Garnett trade, the league pulled back the national television schedule, presumably to bump up the national exposure for the reconstituted Celtics.

The finalized schedule is now slated for release Thursday morning.</div>

Does anybody else think this move allows the NBA to move away from the Tim Donaghy fixing NBA games and allow them to market around this big 3 and regaining some of it's image?

I can't wait for the schedule to come out.

Word is Jazz @ Warriors was supposed to be on TNT on Oct 30 but it could be revised with KG going to Boston. Depends if they start the season on Oct 30 or the next day or two and if they play on the west coast in that game. I would imagine W's-Jazz would get bumped out if they shared a timeslot with the Celtics.

    The first day is....

    San Antonio vs Portland

    Lakers vs Rockets

    Utah vs Golden State

The opening always has to be Champs.

Well that's going to suck. I was hoping for a Mavericks vs Warriors game, I was also hoping that there would be a Celtics game on, to watch the trio in action. Lakers vs Suns is going to be horrible, I see no point in ruining my Christmas by watching the Suns dominate the Lakers. Heat vs Cavs is alright I guess, but the Heat aren't the elite team they were years ago, and the Cavs are just boring to watch. Sonics vs Blazers is going to be Kevin Durant vs Greg Oden, that's probably the only game I might consider watching

I know Oden is the new thing, but they could've put the Mavs, Suns, etc. against the Spurs to open up.....

Obviously the commish didn't want the defending champs to get blown out like the Heat did last year.
