<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Washington Wizards released today their 2007-08 regular season schedule, including the home opener at Verizon Center versus the Orlando Magic on Saturday, November 3rd. The Wizards open the 2007-08 campaign in Indiana on October 31st, and will also travel to Boston to meet the Celtics on November 2nd during the season's first road trip. Having emerged victorious in their last two home season-openers, Eddie Jordan, Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison, Caron Butler and company will look to make it three straight home opening wins when they open the 41-game 2007-08 home slate against the Orlando Magic on November 3rd.

"After our third consecutive appearance in the NBA Playoffs last season, we achieved an organization wide goal of becoming perennial playoff contenders," said Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld. "And now as the 2007-08 schedule is unveiled, we want to take the next step towards becoming an elite team in the Eastern Conference and in the NBA. With the return of All-Stars Gilbert Arenas and Caron Butler, as well as our captain Antawn Jamison, and with DeShawn Stevenson and some good young additions to our established core, we're extremely excited to begin a new season of Wizards basketball."</div>

The Wizards have 9 national televised games and start the first 16 games with 10 on the road.

One less national TV appereance than last year. At least we get our road games out of the way early because we're a very weak road team. Seems like we'll have another slow start going on the road in the early going.
