    Laker Forum v. Rocket Forum

Let's crush these guys in the opener!

I'm not buying the Rocket hype machine just yet. Every year they look great on paper, but they always miss expectations.

Two of the best games last year where the Lakers v. Rockets on December 12th and 15th.

December 15th was the night Kobe Bryant dropped 53 points on Houston and led the Laker comeback in the 2nd half.

<font size=""5"">"I don't know about if he imposed his will," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said about Bryant. "He imposed his skill, I know that."</font>

Anyone who wants to make or take sig bets list out your terms in here!

Has anyone been like BYNUM = NEXT SHAQ!!! No, the Rockets are saying Yao is so great and that he'll drop like 40 on Oden, yea right. Bynum is good, and is still a kid in the game.

Bacon Smeller should have you covered.

Rick Adelman's teams aren't very good on the road, and the Lakers play a lot better at Staples. It's also going to take more than just pre-season for the Rockets to adopt a new system, coaching style, and overall philosphy on how to play the game. The Rockets are going from a disciplinarian, conservative defensive guru, to a more offensive-friendly system, with less emphasis on defense. I expect a lot of confusion on the court for the Rockets in the first month.

The Lakers on the other hand will be entering their 3rd season with PJax back without a lot of roster changes. The Lakers didn't really upgrade much in the offseason and on paper the Rockets have more talent, but the Lakers will have inner development and should have better chemistry.

The Rockets have a lot of new faces on the team, and it will take players time to figure out their roles and how to effective in them.

I said people act like he's gonna be the next Shaq. He has barely even shown SIGNS of greatness. Everyone in Rockets forum exagerrated about Yao's 40, he hasn't even done that many time in his career - probably once or twice but we know Oden aint gonna stop Yao. Just incase you didnt know, Yao is the best center in the NBA right now.

Oden isn't going to stop Yao? Anyone can stop Yao. Yao is the best because he is 7'6, I don't even consider him the best. He is not hard to stop. Nate proved that. Oden could muscle him easily, and don't into with VC again, if you read some paged where this started, you can see where VC showed that Oden could stop Yao, and they he will be the best defensive centre in the NBA.

The Legend v. Pakman for two weeks is official.

Yao is going to get a lot of different looks with Bynum, Kwame, and Mihm. The Lakers 3-Headed monster should be able to neutralize Yao's contributions and wear him down.

Houston Rockets? Wow, big deal. Lakers own Rick Adelman, and of course, the Rockets.

Hey look! Francis is back! That's great news for us, Francis always seems to average 10 turnovers per game in the playoffs against us. I'm disgusted to see some of the wussies on this board. If you're going to make a sig bet, at least make it worthwhile. 2 months sig bet, who's down?

<font size=""1"">I'm probably an idiot for doing thing, and I'll probably regret it, but I'm stupid so who cares</font>
