<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has requested waivers on guard Troy Hudson after reaching a contractual buyout agreement. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"This decision is in the best interest of both the organization and Troy," said Timberwolves Vice President of Basketball Operations Kevin McHale. "Looking at our roster and what would have been Troy's role on the Timberwolves, this was the most amicable way to move forward for both parties. We wish Troy the best in the future."

Hudson, originally signed by the Wolves on Aug. 26, 2002, played in 34 games with Minnesota in 2006-07 and finished with averages of 5.9 ppg and 2.1 apg. In five seasons in a Timberwolves jersey, Hudson averaged 10.0 ppg, 3.8 apg and 24.1 mpg in 257 games. He signed an extension with the team on Aug. 9, 2004. A 10-year NBA veteran, Hudson owns career averages of 9.1 ppg, 3.4 apg and 22.0 mpg in 508 games.</div>

Imo, this isn't too big of a loss. He wasn't making too much, and it opens up plenty of time for the young guys to develop.

T-Hud will most likely become a Celtic, which will make me happy to see him improve.

I hope he goes to the celtics now. I really want to see him play well again. I don't get why he didn't change his mind about leaving when he saw our new roster though. He was the second string pg easily

Remember, the Wolves had already slated Marko "I just don't pass well" Jaric as the back-up point. Make sense to you........me neither.
