<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I'm the king of L.A.," Baron Davis likes to say, with a smile on his bearded face. But he doesn't even play here. He plays in Oakland. And it's not right. They don't deserve him. We do. "Comfortable everywhere," he likes to say, grinning some more. There is a chuckle in his voice. "From Compton to Malibu." Everybody knows, after all, that Davis was a stud at UCLA before he became an NBA star in New Orleans, then was injured, barked at coaches, got traded, and came back to California, but to the wrong place.</div> Source
Lakers fans (except Shape and a few others) are whining POS's who think they have the rights to every player in the league for no cost.
How sad -- not only the team, GM, and players, but now even LA's media is desperate. At least they got Fisher. He's .4 -- he's the next Kobe -- he's the missing piece in the puzzle. Besides, Fisher doesn't want Baron in LA -- Fisher wants to be the king of LA.
typical LA media the Lakers had their chance to get Baron but where to afraid to pull the trigger. They where afraid of Baron's attitude and bad back, and now that they saw what he did for the Warriors (who did take a risk on him) they decide that Baron has to play for them just because he grew up in LA.
<div class="quote_poster">DTKennedy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">"They don't deserve him. We do." What jackoff writes this crap????</div> cosign. i hate the lakers anyway, but this isn't journalism, it's pathetic whining at its worst.
All the Laker fans thought they were getting JO -- now they ain't getting sheit. One more team we can whoop on in the Pacific Division. Playoffs here we come...
