Lawyer Chad Butcher entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. The judge set a preliminary hearing for Aug. 31. According to the arrest report, Morris smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. He acknowledged he had been drinking 30 minutes earlier and was given a preliminary breath test at the scene, with his blood alcohol level showing .069, below Kentucky's legal limit of .08. </div> TSN
This doesn't help Morris since he really isn't guaranteed a roster spot, although he has a guaranteed $810,000 contract. Morris is also extremely expendable considering the Knicks have enough players who can play PF/C. At least he was under the legal limit though.
