    By Alex "Swish" Kennedy

After last season?s disappointing first round sweep out of the playoffs by the Pistons, Orlando Magic general manager, Otis Smith, went into the offseason looking to make some changes. First, incompetent head coach Brian Hill was fired and replaced with Stan Van Gundy (after Billy Donovan back stabbed the Magic, but that?s another article for another time). Smith also wanted to make some personnel changes and had tons of cap room, several second round picks, and multiple free agent options at his fingertips.

At the draft, the Magic traded all of their selections and focused solely on the free agent market. That?s when the biggest move happened. Acquiring scorer Rashard Lewis from the Sonics in a sign and trade deal that sent a future second round pick to Seattle. Lewis then signed a max deal and while Orlando overpaid for the forward, his scoring should still improve this team and turns the Magic into a threat in the East. Other changes made this offseason include: Grant Hill fleeing to Phoenix in an attempt to win a championship, Travis Diener signing with Indiana so he can actually play in games rather than just watching them from the Magic bench, and Darko Milicic leaving for Memphis to get more money.

After all of these changes, nobody is sure how the team will fare and we will just have to wait and see. Here are some must see Magic games that every NBA fan needs to tune in for this season.</div>

A few actually. I wanna see how we match up against Detroit and I can't wait to see the Memphis-Orlando matchup. I think this year will be more exciting than last. What matchup are you looking forward to?

Good article Swish. I can't wait to see Dwight go up against Al Horford, that is one of the matchups that I'm looking the most forward to. I just want basketball to start ASAP!

I hope Howard can give Bosh a little more compition[IMG] It's been Bosh over Howard for a while. It's almost to easy for him.[IMG]

PFFFF Ewing? What has he ever done[IMG] Still, even with Ewing, Bosh can't be stopped by Howard, it's to much for him to handle.

Didn't Ewing get fired by the Rockets because he wasn't helping Yao at all?

    Good article, btw.

What does compition mean?? I can see if Howard didn't give Bosh enough competition but compition.
