Juwan Howard, whom the Timberwolves acquired from Houston in the trade for Mike James, has been on the phone with the Wolves asking that he also be traded now that he won't get the opportunity to play with Kevin Garnett.

But at present, the Wolves don't have any plans to trade the former Michigan standout, even though owner Glen Taylor said that some of the veterans might be traded away as the team goes young.

Taylor realizes there is going to be criticism by fans because of the Garnett trade with Boston, but he is willing to take it.</div>

Well doesn't he have an big expiring contract anyways?
I'm sure theres some teams that could use him, go ahead and trade him. Probably help both teams.

What's a matter with this guy?? It's not like he's so talented that teams are jumping to get him.

I don't know. I mean he's solid but we've already had him once.

Man, you guys are all jumping all over Juwan, but I think that if guys like Jason Williams can demand trades, then so can he. He may be a bit washed up, but the man reinvented the image of the game with the Fab 5, he's a former All-Star, he's got an expiring contract worth $7 million in cap room, and until his contracts runs out, he's still a very servicable backup four.

He started his career out in Washington, and they need better lowpost scoring, so maybe the Wolves can package him and Gomes for Haywood (who is apparently being shopped) and Songaila.

Yeah I agree. The guy's not bad as a starter, so why wouldnt he be a good backup? He could help out anywhere in the league including his former teams, The Magic and The Mavericks

I find it funny that Howard thinks that they really care what he wants. The dude was traded for his contract and not much else.

If I were Minnesota, I'd either let him cry at home, fine him and wait 'till his contract expires or try to trade him for a young player/draft pick or something.

Juwan is still a very serviceable player and a backup 4 in this league. He can possibly start on a few teams. He's not the mentor type of player, and serves no purpose to this Wolves squad after the KG trade. What do the Wolves get out of playing Howard over Smith and Gomes? He's a valuable asset with his contract but the Wolves don't seem to want salary back. The best option is buying him out.

Trade for picks and maybe a 3rd string PG. Howard will do nothing with the Wolves now. Davis will be the number 1 option, with Jefferson number 2 and Foye 3. Howard will be useless, and should be traded or bought out.

Well the offense will most likely be run through Big Al and Randy Foye, being the PG. Ricky Davis, however, will be himself and try to think he's MJ and go buck with the ball in his hands.

Maybe he'll try and get a triple double by shooting it off his own rim, or try and put it through his legs on a break away. Man, nothing like Ricky Davis.

ricky davis is one of those players, kind of like marbury and smush, who are just good at street ball style basketball, alot of flash and no IQ, no brains in what he does, its basketball but retarded. ricky davis needs to be shipped off to the knicks or Heat or some other dumbass team that would take him. the guy is one of those guys that you just cant like, no matter how hard you try to find a positive in his game you always come up with the same answer, a street baller guy with alot of athleticism but no brains, retarded and never can be on a winning team, ball hogg. isnt davis the guy who tried to hinder lebrons developement because he wanted to be the main guy on the team? what a loser man, ship him out.

Well, I can see why he'd want to be traded in the first place. The Timberwolves aren't going anywhere near the post season for a couple of years, since they are trying to rebuild. Juwan doesn't have many years left in his career to wait for the team to develop because he wants to win.

The Timberwolves need to deal him away quick with another young potential talent because Juwan won't be useful in the future.
