<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Despite their rise to the ranks of the NBA elite, the Cavaliers have yet to cash in on the market for aging stars looking for a shot at a championship. That might not change anytime soon, but they are in the game. Team sources said the Cavs have interest in former New York Knicks star Allan Houston, who is planning a comeback two years after being forced to retire because of knee problems. Houston, 36, was one of the best shooting guards in the game in his prime. He told ESPN.com last week that his knee is feeling better and he hopes to play this season. Various media outlets have reported that the Dallas Mavericks also have shown interest in Houston. The Mavericks, though, already have 17 players under contract and just signed veteran shooting guard Eddie Jones to a deal last week. </div> Akron Beacon Journal
All these older players are confusing me. It seems that every team is interested in PJ Brown, Chris Webber, Jame Posey, Reggie Miller, and now Alan Houston. And I know Mavs have been rumored around Houstons name the most, I just don't see it happening. I dont know why the Mavs would need him or Reggie Miller when we just got Eddie Jones. So perhaps Houston to Cavs would be a nice fit. A good shooter that Lebron good drive and dish to.
Whatever happened to Scottie Pippen? Wasn't last year he was supposed to play for either Cleveland or LA?
Friggen just play Shannon Brown. It's not that hard. He'll give you more production than Larry Hughes if given the minutes. Just play Hughes-Brown-James at the same time. Brown>Any Non big man FA out there.

I think that the Cavs need to give youth a chance (Shannon Brown). That's what Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United, and ended up with arguably 4 of the best players of the last decade in the English Premier Leage. Granted, that was soccer, but the principle remains.
