Why put this in the Raptors lounge?

This is a great thread idea that should be in the regular forum and probably deserves a sticky. [IMG]

Thanks, I talked to Chutney about it and he said it is OK for the lounge. I wouldn't mind it in the regular forum either. I just thought it was a good idea to bring back the Raptor Lounge.

Now that I think about it, Swish probably has a point. I don't see much of a point in keeping this from non-Raptors fans.

I do want to figure out a way to revive the lounge, but this seems like something suited for the regular forums.

I think you should sticky this in the regular forum because it'll draw a lot of attention.

Then to revive the Lounge, do a Raptors forum version of Under the Microscope or something. Make games and stuff.

    2007-2008 PLayer Stat Prediction

Here are my player stat prediction for the upcoming season:

    Andrea Bargnani:
    16.5 PPG/ 6RPG / 2APG / .74BPG / .4SPG / 41%3PT / 43%FG / 92%FT

    *Maceo Baston: 4.5PPG /3.4RPG /.6APG /.65BPG /.2SPG /0%3PT /37%FG /74%FT

    Chris Bosh: 25.3PPG / 10.7RPG / 3APG / 1.7BPG / .8SPG / 18%3PT / 49%FG /86%FT

    Jose Calderon: 10.3PPG / 4RPG / 8APG / .24BPG / 1.1SPG / 29%3PT / 37%FG / 82%FT

    *Carlos Delfino: 9.6PPG / 5RPG / .35BPG / .94SPG / 26%3PT / 38%FG / 78%FT

    Juan Dixon: 5.6PPG / 2RPG / .18BPG / .93SPG / 34%3PT / 31%FG / 79%FT

    T.J. Ford: 13PPG / 7APG / .21BPG / 1.2SPG / 26%3PT / 31%FG / 78%FT

    Jorge Garbajosa: 10.3PPG / 4APG / .78BPG / 32%3PT / 32%FG / 81%FT

    Joey Graham: 6.9PPG / 3.2APG / .85BPG / 21%3PT / 29%FG / 84%FT

    Kris Humphries: 2.3PPG / 1.4APG / 1BPG / 0%3PT / 25%FG / 74%FT

    Luke Jackson: 3.7PPG / 2.3APD / .4BPG / 28%3PT / 23%FG / 75%FT

    *Jason Kapono: 10.3PPG / 3.4APG / .5BPG / 50%3PT / 36%FG / 91%FT

    *Jamario Moon: 5.5PPG / 3.1APG / .8BPG / 24%3PT / 32%FG / 79%FT

    Rasho Nesterovic: 5.6PPG / 8.4RPG / 1.4BPG / 0%3PT / 33%FG / 76%FT

    Anthony Parker: 15PPG / 5.6RPG / 4.3RPG / .76BPG / 43.3%3PT / 84%FT

    * = New Player

I think that this year is a big one for Anthony Parker. He will be a 3rd option, but he will be able to go back to his coming off screens and slashing game now that Jason Kapono is here. He will be a candidate for Most Improved Player because of his ever improving skills and defense.

Jamario Moon will have his rookie year this year. He will play some big minutes at SF because he is a hard worker, and in Sam Mitchell's good book. He can score and is an athletic freak. He should have a good campaign and could be the next feel good story out of the D-League.

Chris Bosh will be able to score more because of the 3 point shooting of Jason Kapono and Andrea Bargnani. He will improve his scoring and should be a higher on the Top 10 candidates for MVP. I also think this year is when he hits his true game like the rest of his class. He will finally become an elite PF and player in this league.

Andre Bargnani will be entering this year, bigger, better and uncut. However, unlike South Park, he will not have the record for most swear words in a movie. No, he will show everyone that when Chuck Swirsky voted for him as ROY, he should of won it. He will be a force on the outside and inside. He will improve his rebounds and scoring. With guys like Kapono and Parker he will be able to work inside or pop out for a 3.

Carlos Delfino will finally play in a system were he can play with his strengths. He will be able to slash and play his game the way it was meant to be played. His exciting and excellent play with Argentina will propel him into this season. He should be able to pick up his scoring and be a big contributor off the bench.

This is Joey Graham's make or break year. He has said himself, he is tired of being told what kind of potential he has, well time to show it. He will be a small factor this year, but, I hope he proved me wrong. I see an average year for Graham.

Ford & Calderon should be both in double digits for points per game and combined average 13 APG. They will be in Top 10 for assists per game and will both have big years. With more weapons in their arsenal, they will be able to move the ball better and get open looks to Kapono, Parker, Bargnani or Bosh. Also, this is the year were Calderon will show if he will stay in Toronto or get traded like so many rumors. I expect him to come out flying, and play high level basketball.

Your predictions seem way too optimistic and unrealistic. Sure everyone will improve, I have no doubt about that but there aren't nearly enough touches to go around for them to average that much. Your predictions make me think that everyone will be playing huge minutes and thats just not going to happen when you have a roster thats 15 deep.

If those averages are true, that would mean the Raptors would average over 150ppg which is obviously not going to happen. J

    - Jamario Moon will see some minutes but not enough to reach your predictions IMO.
-Ford I think will average more APG than what you predicted maybe around 8.4 especially with the addition of Kapono to dish out to.
    - Bosh's statline seems reasonable except for the 1.7BPG which I think will be around 1.4 BPG.
    - You were right on with Kapono, Delfino and Baston's stats.
    - Rasho will be seeing less minutes with Bargnani likely to start which will make it impossible for him to increase his stats from last season with a decrease of minutes.
    - Humphries should see some time and I agree with your prediction on him.
    - Garbo's stats seem a little too high, considering he won't be starting anymore (assuming Kapono starts)
    - I don't expect Graham or Jackson to see much floor time so your prediction on Graham is way off IMO.

Not trying to bash you, but some of your statlines seem ridiculously optimistic.

I agree, your predictions are extremely high. I just did the math and in order for all of your points per game predictions to turn out accurate, the Raptors would have to average 165.1 points per game over the course of the season. [IMG]

Well, now that I read it over, your right. I was thinking after I wrote it, it was to high, I'll change to make it more realistic.
