I honestly don't know whether to root for the Sonics anymore. The only people left with a connection to this city are meaningless role players. The Sonics are Clay Bennett's team now, and I hate Clay Bennett. Who am I supposed to root for? Players that are probably leaving in a year or three? Should I keep supporting the team so I don't feel like a traitor on the off chance they stay in Seattle?

I don't really have any choice but to wait and see if something forces me to abandon the team I thought I'd love forever.

As long as the team is in Seattle I am going to root for them. I'm not even from Seattle but the fact that the only team that I've rooted for has been in the Emerald City is the reason why I've remained a die hard.

I've supported this team after Payton left, Flip left, and all of the other players that I've supported have left. Obviously I am not a big fan of Clay Bennett but he isn't the one that is lacing them up and competing on the court. Our spending has always been frugal so no matter who the owner is you hope that you have a competent enough GM to make our team competitive. Schultz had that with Sund and I believe that Bennett has that with Presti.

Call me naive but I believe that this team will remain in Seattle simply because there are too many obstacles that this ownership group is going to run into trying to move this team to OKC before 2010. To be honest I think that they are looking to sell already, but they are waiting until after this season to see how much opposition they are going to encounter to move to OKC.

My advice is to keep rooting for Durant and Co. until the move to OKC is finalized. As long as the individuals who are involved in the basketball operations are putting forth their best efforts to win games I will not hold any alterior motives from the ownership group against them.

I will still root for them. It'll be hard for me not to. It's become second nature for me to visit this site and 2 other Sonics' blogs each time I open the Internet just to see if anything is new in Sonics land. So as long as the Sonics are in Seattle, they're still my team.

Bennet and his boys really screwed things up for themselves, which works good for us Seattlites. I really hope that they end up selling the team to a local group. There a couple of groups that are interested too, so that's good. It's hard to say what will happen in the future.

i'll still be rooting for them. I just can't see myself not as long as they are the Seattle Supersonics. If they move it'll be a different story and I'll have to decide how i feel but as for now, this is still our team.
